Normally I would agree but one of the problems with the NBA is the way these guys are shuffled around. Maybe if more guys did this the NBA would cool off on shuffling guys around so much.

JJ, was/is not interested in money...he has been paid a boatload of money over his career...at this point in his career, it is all about winning a championship (which is why he signed with Houston in the first place...he should have stayed in Sac-Town (where they wanted him). Jackson has always been a good player, and I agree with his frustration with this trade. You don't sign with a suppossed contender, and accept a trade for a player of lesser talent that played on a doormat team...there was no reason for this trade to include him. Hopefully, Charlotte will void his contract, so the Kings can pick JJ back up.

That tired cliche of 'playing for the love of the game' is bogus and doesn't hold an ounce of weight..JJ is looking out for his best interests and that is all that matters in this case.
            1. Sac didnt want to resign JJ

            2. They aren't going to win a championship

Actually Sac did want to re-sign JJ, but they felt they couldn't afford him...and they are still one of the elite teams in the League, so the possibility that the Kings could win the title are just as good as anyone else.

I'm a huge Rockets fan and this was a dumb @ss trade, I love JJ, plus you trade him for big ears, give me brake, it's bad enough we sux as it is this year, but you trade your best defence player at that. Rockets are dumb this year.

JJ took less to play for the Rockets and was basically their best player last year over all games.

And this is how they 'thank' him.

Houston is notorious for crap like this / treating players poorly. Look at Kevin Willis a few years ago...he signed on the cheap to back up Dream and Sir Charles SOLEY to try and win a ring...

And they traded him as 'cap filler'...a disgraceful 'betrayal'.

I was glad Kev got a ring with the Spurs later...
