IIRC the Celtics went on a 24 game winning streak last season - with Kyrie and without Hayward. I think giving up on Kyrie isn't smart; the issue wasn't him so much, it was the fit around him. Trade some redundant pieces, try to get AD and give it another go.

That said he seems to have burned bridges along the way, so it might not work out...

All those draft picks...oh excuse me, “assets”, that they were gifted for the last 5-6 years(some because of us)and all they’ll have show for it is a ECF runner up banner.

Depending on either how this offseason goes (if Kyrie leaves and no superstar replaces him) and/or if the Jays never get back to their 17/18 Season/Playoff form, then you can say that "the C's blew the Nets Draft pick era".

I guess I need to eat me crow too because I still thought that maybe, just maybe the C's could flip a switch in the playoffs. I was even a believer until almost the end. The turning point for me was Game 3 when Giannis and Middleton were both in foul trouble in the 3rd Quarter and the Bucks bench went from being down to up 10 with the two best players on the bench. It was at that point that I truly realized that there was no such thing as a switch with this team.

They're just a classic case of why games are played because on paper they should be better than a team that got smoked in the 2nd Round of the playoffs. At least they were anyway, I'm not sure they are even that good on paper anymore.

NBA released ECF schedule. If Raptors win game 6, ECF begins Monday. If series ends Sunday, ECF begins Wednesday. Gm3-7 are exact same regardless.

Series is every other day(if Raptors win tonigh) EXCEPT a 3 day break between gm2-3. That seems weird.

Man I dont know why it was so hard to believe there was fire behind all the smoke of the regular season. The media didnt even have to create fake news, the players were saying all this stuff themselves, lol

Cant say I'm surprised this is how it turned out. This C's team is still insanely talented though. It will be a matter if addition by subtraction.

Cant say I'm surprised this is how it turned out. This C's team is still insanely talented though. It will be a matter if addition by subtraction.

It wasn’t really not believing there was fire behind the smoke, but moreso about feeling that in the end and out in the LeBron James-less eastern conference the overwhelming talent would win out. It’s like the 2004 Lakers. There were clear and obvious problems going on with that team that we don’t need to go into right now, but even in spite of that they STILL came within 3 games of winning an NBA championship because they had so much talent on that team. Now I never once thought nor said this Celtics team would win a title this year, but I did for sure think that they were too talented not to get to the NBA finals. But hey, this is why they play the games because the best team on paper doesn’t always win.

No surprise, 76ers haven't said 1 thing about Embiids condition or anything. We all know he's playing, but not going with a "probable" or anything else we've seen all series. They've finally learned/listened.

That's the point. It never mattered, but 76ers kept on doing it. And when they lost, it blew up in their face.

If they didn't say anything about Embiid being sick, or waking up 6am to a text or any of that, would people be criticizing things as much?

Dub, you've been bringing up "narratives" before they even take shape, lol....if your tired of them dont give them so much life. I mean, You missed the entire part where I said the media wasnt even necessary in this particular instance. The discord was obvious.

Fact is, the same chemistry issues that haunted the C's all season bled into the playoffs...doesn't take away from how dominant the Bucks were...we were just discussing the C's ATM. We all saw how dominant Greek Freak was.
