Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
Like I said, the Paul George move changes the whole situation though. I still feel that way, I don’t think he chooses to go play with Gallo and Lou.. just didn’t see this avenue as possible.
And btw, in everyone one of those posts I said if there was going to be a player to pick them Kawhi would be the one weird enough to do it. [emoji2371]

**** I forgot about Pat.
Did I not keep saying what was up here though? Jerry West has built 3 different dynasties in the NBA, having dude in the fold is not to be dismissed.

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
Let us go with the real sources
Sources: Leonard and George met in LA earlier in week. Clippers had long been frontrunners for Leonard, but it is unlikely he would've made final leap to sign without PG trade. Clippers imagined Leonard as part of a Lakers Big 3 --- and knew they had no choice. They did OKC deal.Comment

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
Starting to fell more like NFL in that I dont known like what to predict lol. NFL is like the hardest sport to predict other than knowing Pats will be good that is. NBA is normally the easiest sport to predict out of the 4 major sports when it comes to who will make the playoffs and who can go far in the playoffs at that. Next year not so much lol.Comment

Kawhi didn't want to form a Super Team with the Lakers

Bro that changes nothing. Why didn’t he tell the Lakers to go get PG instead of wasting their time with Anthony Davis if that’s the case? Because he wanted to go to the Clippers
From Woj:
In the end, Kawhi Leonard didn't want to construct a Super Team with the Lakers. He wanted a co-star across the Staples corridor with the Clippers, and made it clear to Steve Ballmer and Lawrence Frank: Get PG, and I'm coming.

Does that mean that he was picking Lakers, or Clippers based on this trade? Toronto wasn’t even in the picture? [emoji23]

That’s fine, I blatantly said I thought he had about a 1% chance of picking the Lakers.. I don’t know why y’all are trying so hard to make this a Lakers/LeBron thing.
And it does change things because had anyone known PG was going there the main premise of my point that he would be choosing to play with Lou and Gallo wouldn’t have mattered.

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
I think Kawhi would've picked the Lakers if he was there.
.....but DANG Lakers Nation straight up disrespected the Clippers and dismissed them even with the logo.
Yikes.
And Jerry West has now been part of the successful free-agent recruitment and landing of:
-Shaquille O'Neal
-Kevin Durant
-Kawhi Leonard
(And acquiring of Kobe Bryant and Paul George.)
There is nobody who comes close to this in the history of the NBA or perhaps all of sports.Comment
