And they booked an Airbnb not even close by. How do you not look at how close where you're staying is to where you plan on going?

The place they stayed at sucked too. Again, its 2019, look at reviews. And do pro athletes stay at Airbnbs? Surely you can afford a hotel. Haven't you heard? Hotel...Trivago.

Sorry I'm late to the party I was busy. The whole contract situation has been comical to me because every time I saw such and such getting "The Supermax" the end results were going to be terrible more times than not. The Supermax itself is a stupid idea, all it does is hamstring your franchise because of all the cap room you lose. If the NBA was smart, they'd make it so the Supermax only counts against 20-25% of a team's cap if a guy has been with the team for maybe 3-5 seasons. That way if someone really wants to get paid they still can get paid, and the team will have flexibility to build around said player because the contract while large doesn't hurt their cap room as badly. There's so many different ways they can go about this but they just idiotically approach it and continue to put themselves in these stupid situations.

If things worked like this you can still get paid even if you leave in free agency, but now the home team has more wiggle room if they max you to sign/trade/whatever other players.

So what are the chances the Clippers trade for Westbrook?

If OKC just wanted rid of the contract and wasn’t worried about assets necessarily the Clippers could send Harkless, Mbah a Moute (both expiring contracts) Robinson/Shamet and absorb the rest of Westbrook’s contract with their 12 million in trade exceptions from the Tobias Harris and Sam Dekker trades...

I suppose the same could be said for bringing back CP3 as well.

Please do get Russ Clippers, Kawhi would be asking for a trade before training camp was over.

Cousins was briefly interviewed by Spectrum and he was looking much slimmer.

Don't get me wrong, I understand the disdain. LaMarcus Aldridge told everyone who would listen in Portland that he was coming back and wanted to take the next step with Dame, suddenly he bolted for San Antonio out of the blue. He didn't force his way out but he certainly led the entire city to believe he was all in on Portland only to run away first chance he got.

As for most Spurs fans calling him that, I mean maybe I'm just not around the right ones but living here in San Antonio I'm definitely surrounded by their fan base and not a soul I've run into has refered to him as anything but Kawhi and kept it moving.

That would be a terrible idea. I like their backcourt makeup at the moment and they don't need a chucker like Westbrook on the roster.

How could LAC get Westbrook with not a single 1st to offer?

CP3 then? Neither player would alter Beverley's role or really change the dynamic of their current back court. You could argue as of right now their only weakness is the lack of a play-maker/floor-general.

Depends, do we know that OKC is demanding more first round picks after just getting 20 of them in the PG trade? If the return was Shamet he's a 22 year old on his rookie deal who just had a strong rookie season.. Basically the same as getting a first round pick but without the risk of it being a bust since he's already proven. OKC is going rebuild if they make a trade, that move gets them 2 expiring contracts and sheds about 11 million off instantly with LAC using trade exceptions to make the deal. Not sure what other team helps them shed 35 million bucks within 1 season while also getting a good young player in return.

Pick or no pick, that's probably more attractive than what they'll get from Miami.

Meh, I'm not in San Antonio proper (I'm from Maryland) so fans there may have moved on. The online community is definitely split between factions (that either adore him still or hate him).

Not sure if you ever listen in to The Ticket 760 but if local radio is any indication its definitely still split...and we how Spurstalk is, lol

While I'm indifferent, you cant really blame the fanbase for feeling how they feel either way..

I'd also point out that they literally just traded with OKC, who was supposedly contemplating and or offering Westbrook to Toronto, so they probably offered him to the Clippers too.

Seems like a relatively safe assumption that the Clippers aren't interested.
