At first glance I was like why would OKC want Paul however his contract ends one year earlier then Russell’s did. They can find a way to trade him at some point even if it’s taking back some bad contacts.
RIP to anyone else shooting the ball on that team

Now that I think about it, Paul would be really good for a team like the Nuggets. Denver has most of their long-term guys locked down already, Millsap is making $30M this year.
Could do something like Paul for Millsap, Plumlee, and picks/filler and start Grant at the four. Let's OKC do a hard rebuild and gain even more assets.

This is pretty much the only move I see that makes sense.. OKC obviously wants to be as bad as possible but also give those point guard duties to SGA..
Only question would be if Denver wants that much money when they would be clearing 30 mil after this year. They are about to have to start paying their own guys.
