As already mention, he can. The two sides would just have to agree on a number.

I get that players changing their minds is a big deal and will be a discussion at the next CBA, but these owners aren't guiltless either if you want to make a change of heart an NBA sin.

The Knicks gotta be looking to help some team out with the bevy of PFs they have at the deadline.
Man what the hell are you talking about? I said it because he made a short sighted move that could potentially bite him in the *** if he were to get hurt chasing an extra 5 million. It's particularly bad because his agent clearly gave him bad advice. He's probably thinking get his $15M for one year and then cash in for a bigger deal next year except next years crop of free agents suck and with the list of guys that are going to be up in 2021 teams are going to be hoarding their money next year to try to land someone then. The better market would have been to take the 2 years from SA and be a free agent then where he can get overpaid by the teams that miss on the big names then.

Nobody is saying owners are guiltless and you can bet that if a team agreed to a verbal deal with Marcus Morris during the moratorium and then reneged on the deal to sign someone else when things could be official that team would be getting destroyed right now in the media, by fans and certainly by the players on social media.

You really think they could buy him out? Or what path would CP3 take to get to both those teams. Because again I'm No salary guy. I have no clue how that would be possible this late in the game. I just see CP3 going to bed teams.

I honestly dont know, but i could definitely see him pouting at this stage of his career not wanting to be there and plotting a way out, especially being the NBPA president, using all of his connects to get away from there.

The 2 guys who hold the spots 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 for most turnovers in a season are on the same team?

Only question would be if Denver wants that much money when they would be clearing 30 mil after this year. They are about to have to start paying their own guys.

Didn't they just lock down Murray? They already paid Jokic, Harris, and Barton so they'll pretty much be locked in

Yeah, not sure the NBAPA President is going to be giving up any money any time soon.

He might force a trade, but I would expect there is about a 99% chance he doesn't get bought out.

You have 2 ball dominant guys who hunt for stats and one who can’t play off the ball. If Harden played like a traditional SG, it would fit nicely. Westbrook definitely has to change the way he plays for it to work especially in a heavy 3pt volume offense. But I don’t see that pairing pushing the needle for Rockets. RW & JH hasn’t shown up in playoffs. Their play styles wears them out by time playoffs show up. Plus they still need some better depth. They need more perimeter defenders with size.

But this seems to be the year of dynamic duos or strong supporting complementary cast. All potential playoff teams have either good depth or top heavy. Should make for a good balanced year

Haven't a lot of NBA players been doing this diet in the off season. And I totally forgot the reason for this. I'll have to look it up. Remember LeBron and a few others doing the same thing.

That seems to be the trend nowadays for centers. Gone are the days where we see bulky centers who play bully ball. It is all about being more mobile so they can run up and down the court and better on switches on defense. Plus I think it'll better for him and other bigs in same trend. Playing the style of play with that much extra weight leads to more injuries. Embiid needs to do same thing. He can stand to lose 15-20 lbs. Zion as well.

But Cousins did look to lose decent amount of weight in the last month since Finals

If they were to have CP3 I believe they would be well into the luxury tax once Murray’s contract kicks in. Which might not be worth it to them for a 35 year old point guard.

Harden can play off the ball. He can space the floor as a shooter in the very least. Russ, not so much.
