Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
And I’m interested to see how Kenny will implement Kyrie into that Offense, especially considering he has a tendency to have his ISO Ball moments(I’m still scarred from the Averah/PJ Days).
But considering the work he has done with PGs as an Assistant and now as a HC, I think(read: hope) we’ll see good things with him and Kyrie. But of course, the real test will come next year when it’s time to add KD to that system.
Damn, it still feels weird typing that out, lol.#RespectTheCultureComment

2019 Offseason Thread
Well, you just failed to determine why LeBron fandom was a part of the discussion that 23 was having with regards to OJ and cima going ham on the Clippers for the last month, so I won't hold my breath on you objectively determining what's properly prompted or not prompted.
But when have I went ham on the Clippers or trashed them? I said that big name free agents didn’t want to go there, or at least that they never have. That was before free agency, before AD trade. I’ve been consistent saying the same thing. The only time I’ve “trashed” them or said anything even remotely harsh about them is when people were arguing back at me for every reason under the moon as to why people would sign other than on-court reasons. (Their best player is still Lou Williams)..
Almost all of that talk wasn’t me being “pro-LeBron” it was people trying to convince OS how great of a landing spot the Clippers would be because they don’t want him to go play with LeBron.. I was responding with treating the Clippers for what they actually were, an 8th seed level team with no stars on their roster who likely won’t make the playoffs this year.. and bringing their “upside” down a notch from were people have been overrating them..
Before there were no free agents left I straight up said I didn’t even want Kawhi to go to the Lakers, and gave them about a 1% chance of getting them before it got to this point.
All this other stuff, lying Woj, Ballmer paying media, that wasn’t even me who said any of that..

I wonder if he has an agenda as well since he’s saying he’ll stay in Toronto?#RespectTheCultureComment

Like I said, along with PerkGod, I just don’t see why he would fly all the way back to announce that he’s leaving.

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
Honestly it doesn't even matter because the biggest thing in all of this is nobody knows what Kawhi truly wants and is looking for in a landing spot. And each spot has it's reasons why they'd be a better spot than the other.
If Kawhi is only worried about winning as many rings as he possibly can, then the Lakers are absolutely the best spot for him to go for obvious reasons.
If Kawhi wants to be comfortable with a familiar situation, be adored and praised by literally EVERYBODY and play somewhere that he already KNOWS 100% for sure that he can win another title, because he's already done it then Toronto is clearly the spot and he should stay.
If Kawhi wants to go home, but doesn't all the scrutiny and criticism of 16 championships weighing down on his every step and mistep along the way and a legendary player whom he'll never surpass in Kobe Bryant and a place where he will truly build HIS legacy with a hall of fame coach, great owner who's willing to spend money to win and a decent roster with guys that can grow up alongside him into potentially big pieces. Then the Clippers are clearly the road to take.
It doesn't have to be world war here.Comment

I do.

If Kyrie can be patient enough to wait for screens hell have plenty of moments to score and get his occasional isos.

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
From r/Lakers. Here's what delaying the AD trade would do, which the Lakers would need done if Kawhi doesn't sign by tomorrow. So basically, this is why delaying the trade will NOT happen:
1) Anthony Davis, Solomon Hill, Jordan Bone and 3 future second round picks back to New Orleans
2) Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart, Mo Wagner, Jemerrio Jones, Isaac Bonga, DeAndre Hunter, and all future picks back to the Lakers
3) Miles Plumlee, Jaxson Hayes, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Marcos Louzada Silva back to Atlanta
4) Mike Conley, Jevon Carter and Chandler Parsons back to Memphis
5) JJ Reddick remains a free agent (Pelicans no longer have space to sign him)
6) Kyle Korver, Jae Crowder, Derrick Favours, Brandon Clarke and all future picks back to Utah
7) Andre Iguodala (acquired using trade exception created in Mike Conley trade) and the future picks traded with him back to Golden State
8) D'Angelo Russell back to Brooklyn
9) Josh Jackson back to Phoenix along with DeAnthony Melton + future second rounders
10) PHX no longer has cap room to sign Ricky Rubio making him an unrestricted free agent again
11) 1.1 million back to WashingtonComment

If Kyrie didn’t do it in Cleveland and Boston, I have no idea why he’d do it now.Comment
