Damn LMAO I just woke up because I didn't go for my early morning run today. I thought their was no way anyone wanted to play for LA's B-Team and Woj was just pushing an agenda aggressively. 😂

That didn't take long for people to hop onto the "Trade Russell Westbrook" train.

Two of my favourite players on the same team, love it. The defense come playoffs is going to be tough to break down.

Damn you Kawhi for sabotaging the Lakers chances at other FAs...but also, well played.
cima I know people give you a hard time (sometimes justified other times unjustified) but respect for manning up when you're wrong bruh. This year of basketball is gonna be fun (unless you're a Suns fan and realize you have to play the Lakers, Clippers, and GS multiple times this year)

I wanted the Lakers to get him up until the other day seeing that trash Kawhi-Knicks meme on /r/Lakers...what'd we ever do to them? Now I hope AD dips out next year too.

Man it's gonna take me awhile to process this. Here's some initial thoughts:

              - Jerry West got some deep revenge on the Lakers here. I remember reading he wanted to go back there but Jeannie turned him down. Welp...

              - Looks like the PG13 trade was the deciding factor and the Lakers were the backup plan.

              - Jerry West is the GOAT executive, hands down. He pulls this **** off over and over again

              - The Clippers ended up with both players that wanted to be traded to the Lakers...lol, what?

              - I started feeling suspicious yesterday about how silent The Clippers were...was thinking, what if they aren't really out of it and they're gonna come out of left field?

              - Some Lakers fans now fully embracing LeBron for being a "true alpha" and wanting to be a Laker...lmao

              More thoughts as they come.

Oh ****. So Kawhi really didn’t want to go to the Lakers. This could have happened in Toronto according to Woj:

Story soon on ESPN: In a dramatic night of negotiations, Thunder GM Sam Presti leveraged the Clippers and Raptors in trade talks on Paul George. The Clippers ability to deliver an unprecedented pool of picks and PG Shai Gilgeous-Alexander ruled day.

                  Re: 2019 Offseason Thread

It's painful for the two I wanted really badly at the beginning of free agency last year to go to the Clippers. I feel like those of us Lakers fans who were in the minority who wanted the team to just move on if we didn't have an immediate answer were right.

Most will disagree of course, but IMO you don't let one player hold you hostage and miss out on building a stronger team, especially if you already have a couple of star players.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Free-agent guard Danny Green has signed a two-year deal with the Lakers, with a source telling ESPN it is worth $30 million. The team also is bringing back Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and JaVale McGee.

The Clippers became the last line of defense for balance of power in the NBA -- never mind the fledgling franchise's own future. The Clippers had come to believe that without a deal for George, Leonard was prepared to sign with the Lakers and create a Staples Center partnership of LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Leonard, sources said.

Yeah I know I'm loud and obnoxious at times. But you reap what you sow and if I'm wrong or feel I'm wrong, I'll admit it.

Obviously I can't hide from this and was wrong on many different avenues here. No point in trying to fight it, lol.

No that says the Clippers believed if they didn’t do the deal he would have went to the Lakers. Not that that’s what he was going to do. If Presti was going to the Raptors for a PG deal as well, that would mean Kawhi had them trying to pair him with PG as well. Three teams were the finalists for Kawhi, 2 of those teams knew about him wanting to play with PG and were trying to acquire him to make it happen. You do the math there

                          More from Woj:

In the end, Toronto didn't have assets to satisfy OKC --- with or without Siakam in any proposed deal. The fear of Toronto entering into trade talks with OKC only proved to guarantee the Clippers would go the distance with five first-round picks and SGA in deal for George.
