This is a bit dramatic, and I'm not even mad at Mook, but it'll be interesting to see how this plays out...

I mean, he can't go back to the Spurs at this point can he?

I'd say no... I could see him being disgruntled if he ended up somewhere he didn't want to be and I'm sure the fans aren't the biggest fans of him at this point either.

With that said, my prediction is that between losing and not getting the playing time he's looking for in a contract year, he's going to be disgruntled in NY and ask to be bought out. When he does get bought out, then he ends up with the Lakers. That way he gets paid and still ends up helping out his Klutch friends.

Kyrie & KD structured them as such in order to create room to sign DeAndre Jordan.

Kyrie Irving's contract is especially interesting: eight separate incentives -- $125,000 each, all deemed "unlikely."

Quiet personna is another media driven narrative...because they can't get info out of him. As far as Kawhi and Toronto Masai said he was straight up, and that's all that matters in the end.

I just don't fly with half stories...which they seem to have been found doing once again.

Fake Lakers fans getting played by fake insiders then blaming Kawhi is worse

Using negotiation tactics and acting like teams don't use them is quite the look.

That's not even the point. The ones speaking about it are acting like teams have been used and abused and it's sort of odd.

What does it matter if I mentioned it before or not? Oh right, cima posted it, gotta make sure he keeps that same energy. I'm sure other teams were tampering too, Clippers were just doing it out in the open. There was an article about it late last year how Lawrence Frank and other Clippers employees were spotted at almost all Raptors games. Frank being in attendance was especially unusual. So if you think that all year they were just attending games and not tampering, I've got a bridge to sell you.

Oh man, James was done dirty lol.

Totally agree with everything you said. I just hope to see more of those deals.

Whatever clippers did I dont think had any impact on getting Kawhi.

However, it was well known that Lawrence Frank was sitting courtside at many Raptors games. I think Ballmer had been at some too. Similar tactics as college coaches do to HS recruits. Going to their games, showing an interest so that when time comes, player recognizes you and feels you've cared more about him joining your school(team) than others.

Like I said, it had no impact in him actually going there. Kawhi was going to the team he wanted no matter what happened this year.

That's the thing I can't beat him at all up for. All the big free agent moves in the last years (from Lebron to KD). They made their choice for themselves. I guess I shouldn't beat PG up either. He found a great chance. And he took it.

Because it's awfully convenient to bring it up AFTER the Clippers signed the guy you hoped was Laker bound, starts to come across as "sour grapes". Side note, send me a picture of the bridge when you get a chance.

I agree, I don't think any of that would have effected his decision in the end. These are grown men already making millions so having some executive there watching him play isn't going to make him all warm and fuzzy inside and thus run to sign a contract with them. I'm sure if Toronto felt like there was any form of tampering they would report it straight to the NBA instead of believe its happening and just let it continue.

Former Toronto Raptors guard Danny Green got a rude welcome to Vancouver last week, getting robbed while checking out an Airbnb near East Hastings Street.
