Sorry, NBA.com didn't update the FA list.

One less option than. I do think Kyrie goes to Brooklyn and tries to sway another vet to go too. I can see Kemba either staying in Charlotte, Knicks, Lakers. I think Kemba becomes Knicks top option if Kyrie doesn't join. So Lakers options will be limited

Russell is also an option. Probably a better fit than Kemba would be as he is a better catch n shoot player and passer than Kemba is. And he's younger. So even with LeBron falling off, a future with DLo and AD will keep the franchise relevant.

What's kind of exciting going into next year is the fact that LeBron and AD both had their least demanding years this year in terms of minutes played in their entire careers.

They should be relatively "fresh" and hopefully that will translate into healthy years for them both.

Damon is very close with LeBron, highly unlikely it has to do with anyone else but them, especially the super mega team thing he mentioned

              1. A couple things. I thought Boston was primed to do big things looking forward. But now I'm pretty low on them. That franchise is heading in the wrong direction imo. Tatum is giving me Wiggins vibes. Brown isn't a star. Hayward is never gonna be the same. They don't have a true point. Barring something major and unforeseen. They are trending way down imo. The East is much better these days.

              2. Lakers and Pelicans trade was excellent for both sides. Lakers get an absolute monster to pair with Bron so he can stop bitching. Pelicans have so much talent to add with Randle and Jrue and company. They'll get Zion. And another elite pick this year. Nawlins should be box office entertainment.

              3. Nets better hang on to DLO. I love Kyrie but don't go chasing that nonsense. Keep that group together and add to it.

              4. Knicks are ****ed.

Pelicans pushing the deal through on the 6th, so the Lakers will have either 23.5 in space if AD takes his trade bonus and 27.5 if he doesn't.

I don't know why I keep forgettiing DLo as a FA. His combo guard style does fit in with the Lakers now since he doesn't always need ball in his hand.
His style fits what a lot of teams covet nowadays. Not sure LA wants to get into a bidding war.

                        ^^Huge.

Griffin has absolutely zero reason to delay the trade until 7/30 for the Lakers' sake.

If so and AD not declining his $4M, Lakers will have to try to convince one of the big FAs to take below the max. I can't see that happening in this climate.

All those swaps and deferments, Griff has played his hand optimally.

I’m so confused. I get the numbers, but I don’t understand how the “act like a team over the cap” with being 32 millions dollars under the cap.. that part isn’t clicking for me.

I’m guess that just means they wouldn’t have officially renounced rights or signed the dotted line for free agents until after the 30th? If not they just means they couldn’t sign anybody else anyways because they were “over the cap”.

247 sports acting like there is zero chance the Lakers agreed to that. I guess we’ll see.

He wouldn’t delay the trade for anyone’s benefit, would have to be something that was agreed upon before hand.

The part that sucks about NBA draft. Guys will be dealt AFTER this, so they have to go through the stupid formality of having their draft day end up with being taken by a team and putting on the hat of a team they're never gonna be on.
