How much cap would Chicago have to send out to take in his contract? I'm guessing the Grizz wouldn't want Porter or LaVine's contract, and the Bulls probably wouldn't trade either of them anyways, and Felicio would be worse than anything they just got from Utah. But just the Bulls pick is better than this package, so idk.

What were they going to give up though?

Probably would have asked to have included Dunn, Valentine, and Hutchison and a pick. That was probably too steep for his liking. I’m guessing.

Bulls should have about 23-24 million in cap space. Conley's salary is at $32M so it'd really only take a couple guys like Valentine, Chandler Hutchison, the 7th pick and next years 1st to get that done. Hell they could ship them Dunn to back up Morant if they were so inclined and it'd top what they actually took back from Utah. Good for JazzMan though.

Still doesn't hold a candle to Luke Ridnour's trade history.

If THAT was too steep to get an effective all-star caliber point guard the one position they are sorely lacking at and have made no secret they want to upgrade, then they need to be fired immediately. They need to be fired anyway, but certainly if that's the kicker to making a Conley move.

This also gives Memphis a 25-29 million trade exception which will be the largest in NBA history. They are now prime candidates for a salary dump and picking up another 1st round pick.

Yh for sure. They're trying to get a young core to build around now. Allen wasn't a bad grab either for them, but still surprised those were who they took for Conley. Morant about to be the PG of the future for the Grizzlies though.

Means Rubio is coming strong off the bench...if they keep him that is. They gonna go with Conley for sure and Mitchell at the 2. Heard the Pacers want to sign him though.

Just looked and rubio made about 15 million last year i dont know if the would want to bring him back for around that kind amount with him not starting even though that would be a heck of a back up pg. Also if they could have brought him back for around that much instead of brining in mike than i dont know if it was really worth it to bring in someone making like 17-18 million more that is not like way better and that is getting towards the age were you would expect him to start decline. I dont think this movie is has good has most people think.

Rubio's more than likely not coming back. He was upset that he was included in trade talks for Conley during the season.

In order for him to come back we'd probably have to ask for a pay cut and a decrease in minutes, and even then we still have Exum at $9M that we'd probably have to try shedding elsewhere. Think the Jazz are committed to Exum, either to raise his value or to have him develop into a decent player. Conley isn't a bad guy as a mentor for him.
