Is it just me or does anybody sometimes wish they never added a three pointer.

I like the 3-pointer. I might have more of an issue with the rules that have morphed and changed over the years to allow it to become such an overpowered play on many nights.

Offensive players along the perimeter seem to have gained more and more power with each passing year. There was a time where leaning into a defender, even subtly, was generally considered either an offensive foul or a no-call. There was also a time where a five-step double stepback would have been a laughably obvious travel. But now we get this: https://streamable.com/wbq9w.

There was also a time where guys weren't able to plot out landing zones four feet ahead of where they took off for standard jumpers, drawing fouls along the way if they're able to kick anyone in sight. And there was also a time where players who kamikazed their way to the hole and dived into defenders praying for a foul wouldn't be rewarded for it.

I reckon it'd be super frustrating to be an NBA perimeter defender right now. You're fighting a losing battle before the possession even begins. The offensive player gets to initiate contact, lean into you on a contest, and basically do whatever he wants out there and if a defender so much as sneezes, it's a foul, and maybe a flagrant.

If some of these rules were kept in check, I'd wonder if the three ball would be quite as dominant at this point.

Great stuff. Yea that is a big thing. You cant guard a three point shooter today. No hand checking they can jump into you like you said and initiate contact. But the defender can't.

It's a bit ridiculous at this point

Curry and Thompson just stunk it up. Period. If you have watched them the last 6-7 years you understand this is how they roll.

Again, if it wasn't for Durant...you fill in the blank.

I could go on an on in detail...but the bottom line is thank goodness Green got on the phone in that parking lot after Game 7 a few years ago.

And remember guys, the MVP is a regular season trophy...some guys don't take that same regular season form through the Playoffs, especially when you are looking for consistency.

I'm just gonna say it: Without Durant the Splash Bros would still be sitting on one Chip and we would easily be down 3-0 in this series.

Who has been riding whose "coattails" the last 3 years?

            Ok I'm done.

But I've been saying this for a while. When Curry is attacked. His offense can't just get going. Especially if Durant is hot. They don't run a offense. And no flow is established.

but the internet tells me Golden State was this huge juggernaut that KD joined to make a double sized juggernaut

The truth is the Warriors were never a dominant playoff team before durant.

Don't get me started lol. I was going to write a nasty message to the NBA ref Twitter. They have to change the rules. Or add a second level of the rules. I've noticed players are more aware of the situation. And are quick to give the replay signal to the ref. When during any other part of the game it's not even an argument.

It just kills the flow of the game. The refs are so imperfect but I'd rather just stay with the original call.

Why isn't faried getting minutes? IIRC he played well for them in the regular season. Is he hurt?

Capella is not injured= No Kenneth Faried

This is where you need an enforcer. At this point I don't care if it is indeed not on purpose, this cannot stand, someone needs to elbow Draymond hard and tell him "how about you are more careful" afterwards.

Maybe “dominant” isn’t the right word choice, but still better than everyone else. Detroit wasn’t a “dominant” team in the late 80’s, people would have still had some **** to say had Jordan up and left a Chicago for Detroit after they knocked him out.

I’m all for replays if it means the call is correct. But I do agree it’s a pain in the *** to sit through and watch it kill the flow of the game.
