Geez. Lose one game and all the sudden the series is up in the air, AND the Warriors were lucky to win a ring pre-Durant. Man.

Re: 2019 Western Conference Playoffs - 2nd Round Discussion Thread
Crazy finish tonight that last shoot Harden made was completely lucky has it slip out of his hand and it should have been a offensive foul clear has day missed call. Then Curry misses a easy dunk. I known Curry's hand may be bother him but he needs to be better he has been crap all 3 games and missed like 4 easy layups tonight. Rockets really could have won game 1 and be up 2-1 instead of being down 1-2 and Curry is getting out played by Gordon in all 3 games. Gordon is a good player but that shouldn't happen.Comment

BTW, the only reason the series is NOT up in the air is because of Durant.
Wasn't luck that got us the first modern-era Chip for the Dubs, it was an intern who told Kerr to put Iggy in the starting lineup. Turned the series around.
You do remember what happened through the ENTIRE finals the year Cleveland won, right? Remember who showed up (and who didn't) in games 5, 6 AND 7? Heck, remember who won games 1 and 2 for us? LOL it hurts to even recall the sadness but it is just basketball, I guess.
Not arguing, just clarifying to speak for myself.Last edited by inkcil; 05-05-2019, 02:58 AM.Unofficial OS Ambassador of "CPU vs. CPU"

I don't care if your going back to get it right. But we've all played basketball here. Like this from tonight. No way in hell if we're playing street ball. Would you tell me the ball I'm holding gets knocked out of my hands. Is out on me. Refs make that call all game long off the defender or the player that swiped at the ball. You can't go to replay and change a call that's being made another way all game long. You when go as far back and every call in basketball history should be reversed.

If someone knocks the ball out of your hands and it hits you before it goes out why wouldn’t it be out on you?
That’s like driving for a layup and getting stripped and the ball going off your knee.
Can’t punish good hands on defense just because you would argue about it for half an hour playing street ball before shoot for possession or something.

Dre for as much you like to bash ESPN and their crew, you sure do like serving up your own brand of hot takes as well. 😂Comment

LOL nope...the conversation was specifically about the value of the Splash Bros and when/where/how and why they do or don't show up for the big games and big moments in the Playoffs.

Meh. You also don't know how they would play if they didn't have Durant.
A better take would be, because of Durant's ability to score at will, Curry and Thompson don't play as hard because they don't need to play as hard.
Yes, it's a problem when the game is close and they need to turn it on, but that's always been a problem with Golden State during this era. They do turn it off way too often because they know they can heat up so quickly.
Despite Curry looking like Ayehsa told him some bad news before game time, the Rockets still needed OT to win. I don't know, that kind of makes it seem like the Warriors don't need to go full throttle in a Game 3 up 2-0.
Also, let's not forget to give Houston's defense credit. Their defense in Game 3 was very good.
Let's wait till Game 4 and see what's up."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Also not a soul here thinks Houston is winning this series.
Shoot they almost lost last night to be honest.
Thing about Steph not doing alot is that neither is Chris Paul
You have one of the best pick and roll guards in the league and you don't utilize it at all?
Moneyball is still losing.

Maybe “dominant” isn’t the right word choice, but still better than everyone else. Detroit wasn’t a “dominant” team in the late 80’s, people would have still had some **** to say had Jordan up and left a Chicago for Detroit after they knocked him out.
