That may be true I remember when these teams played last year GS started playing like Rockets by doing a lot of iso ball instead of passing the ball. I dont remember the stats but I remember GS was averaging a lot less passes per game vs rockets than normal and it was a big reason they almost lost. I saw some of that tonight to not has bad has last year but I did see some of it.

I think this is kinda what VDusen meant though, it’s not really that simple and more of a two way street. The way they are playing right now, yes they might be down 3-1 without KD.. but the way they are playing and relying so heavily on KD it’s hindering the ball movement and collective shooting a bit from what we typically see from this group. Where as over the course of a few quarters, Steph and Klay might be missing out on 10+ touches, thus hindering their rhythm, thus them technically playing bad when maybe with more flow they would be playing substantially better.

Re: 2019 Western Conference Playoffs - 2nd Round Discussion Thread
Honestly, I didn’t notice a huge advantage one way or the other. I thought there were a couple instances of both sides not getting whistles when they should have, and a couple instances where both sides got whistles they shouldn’t have. Rockets were technically called for more fouls than GS was, but I know that’s not always the cut and dry way to look at it.
If Kerr were to make a gripe, I think it would have to be on that Harden off arm. We see lots of players use the off arm, but this isn’t a shoulder bump to clear room like a Giannis or LeBron, he seems to be really shoving off with his arm to create extra space on step backs, where it’s not really defenders running into his shoulder from the side but in sound defensive position.
I’ve noticed Harden seems to utilize that more from the elbow extended 3’s when the ref is positioned behind him.. so he might be strategically using that extra push, which effective or not is just another gimmicky move to trick refs and add to reasons his game is so distasteful.

I don’t think they’ve abandoned it completely, but like Chuck said ever since that personal battle with KD and Bev they’ve been giving him isolated looks more and more. Shaq was agreeing with him too, although Shaq was smiling and agreeing with everything and wearing sunglasses lol.

Don't know which series some of your guys are watching. GS won Game 1 by 4 and Game 2 by 6. And at the end of Game 2 Houston did the whole "we aren't lying down, we won't quit" thing. Not surprised that this series is tied at 2.Last edited by Master Live 013; 05-07-2019, 01:23 AM.OSHA Inspector for the NBA.Comment

Yeah but the thing is game 1 felt like Rockets gave that game away and with GS having little time off and Rockets having more time to rest it felt like a game that Rockets needed to win and also GS won game 1-2 with out Curry and Thompson going off and you would think one of them would have went off in either game 3-4 and they didn't.Comment

So why isn't Curry taking the same amount of heat that RW did ? He has been awful this series he cant hit 3's and has been a liability on defense. He has let the refs and Hardin get inside his head and he even quit several times during the play to complain about calls. This should be the lead story on all sports show this morning like it was with Russ.Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

If you're referencing social media, i.e. people like us, then Curry's struggles have been well documented thus far. Even his missed dunk clip was sitting on top of Reddit for the better part of the days between Games 3 and 4 (not to mention another post of his lowlights).
Otherwise, it's different players with different situations with different personalities and different perceived expectations. All those factors and more play into how someone's performance is viewed and interpreted.Comment

I thought we spent at least three playoff years talking about Curry being ineffective so long as someone presses or bodies him?"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace
