GS needs to give up less 3 pointers and hit a few more. Right now the 3 point line is 11-3 in makes Rockets at that pace you are looking at a 22-6 by the end of the game. Its going to be hard to make 16 less 3 pointers and win any playoff game.

Re: 2019 Western Conference Playoffs - 2nd Round Discussion Thread
I don't think the step back fouls are BS generally speaking. Most of the time, they ARE legit fouls. As OJ said, defenders are over defending a shot that doesn't need to be.
It's in the similar vein as a Jordan/Kobe fade away. There isn't much you can do to defend/contest it. Just gotta live with solid defense and counting on the difficulty of the shot to determine the outcome. Anything more than that will probably lead to a foul.
Everything can't be perfectly defended.Comment

Yeah he was 6/12 on over all shooting tonight at the half 50% lol. But yeah 3 point shooting still off for GS. But yeah if you look at the stats at the half ever thing is pretty close out side of the 3 point line its the difference in the game at the half.Comment

I agree. But thats only because it's a really good move.

But I totally agree with you both.

He was a big part of the Clippers success, but none of that happened until they traded Avery Bradley whom Doc Rivers kept giving big minutes despite him playing like absolute garbage the entire season.Comment

Getting real tired of seeing this almost every possession when someone misses a shot with no whistle in this series...

Re: 2019 Western Conference Playoffs - 2nd Round Discussion Thread
Its getting old seeing players
Laying on the floor like they got shot, and jumping into defenders from stepbacks to draw contact on every other shot
This is the only series this stuff is happening in this often and it's not really entertaining at all from a basketball standpoint.Comment

Haha Gordon looked at the ref while trying to score. Stopped pumped Curry off his feet. And then got the foul lol. These guys lol
I'd fine anyone Warriors defender that fouled a 3 point shooter lol
I thought Capela was out of bounds both those times
Flop.... On Green...
By the way, John Shaft. I'm hype lol. Don't mind me lol

Curry's definitely not the worst defender in the world but I'll be damned if going at him isnt every teams gameplan vs. the Dubs in the playoffs, lolComment

Re: 2019 Western Conference Playoffs - 2nd Round Discussion Thread
Part of the wackness about the Harden stepback is that pushoff he initiates in many instances. I think we're quick to say, "Well, pushoffs will happen, just like Jordan", but if "rules are rules" is the justification we have for iffy fouls committed during closeouts, then I feel as though those pushoffs should be viewed through a similar lens.
I get frequent secondhand frustrated for a lot of those defenders out there. Getting plowed into, pushed off, and barreled into by some guys who may or may not be abusing the gather rules but then getting whistled the moment you make contact in return. That's a bum deal.
Edit: My god, that last drive when he was fouled by Thompson... dude had a clear lane to the rim and literally sidestepped away from the hoop into Thompson to draw a call. One of the most frustrating stars to watch for me.
Harden in the open floor:

Gordon taking advantage of those close outs. All off Harden penetration.
