How many contested threes do guys like Curry, Klay and Harden have to hit before defenders figure out now to jump at them when contesting?

Especially on Harden. He’s stepping back and picking up his dribble, just jump straight up. He can’t blow by you.

Like X had pointed out, easier said than done.

My best friend in high school had a 12 footer that he was automatic with. When we played one one one, he used to set it up with a hard dribble to the right, then once in the 10-12 foot range, he'd either rise up to take the shot...or he'd pump fake.

Thing is, he was SO automatic from that range that just a small contest seemed pointless and made me feel as if I had to sell out to throw him off on it. So when I would, he'd just fake and do a step through that he would hit as I flew by time and time again.

It was so frustrating to defend because I KNEW what he was doing but I couldn't help but bite on that damn pump fake every time.

I remember I'd be in mid air after he got me with another pump fake yelling "f***!" at the top of my lungs [emoji23]

Was thinking, one of the reasons I totally loved NBA on NBC was the "framing" they did of each game, each series. Framing being a nice way to say the narrative. Today's game might share some with this one:
