Nash is arguably the best PG in the NBA, how is that not beneficial?

Amare has years ahead of him to be as good or even better than KG.

From what I saw last night Amare is leaps and bounds above from what he was his 1st year. He has added muscle and starting to develop a nice little jumper. The Suns game really prevents him from developing a better post game but anybody who trash talks Latrell has got my respect.

While I think that Amare is better in his 3rd year than Garnett was at the same stage it's Garnett's intensity and will to win had made him into the elite player that he now is. Garnett will never take a night off and plays harder when his team is far behind which I don't think you can say about any other player in the league. When's he's pissed he plays smart and doesn't try to take over a game by himself without getting his teammates involved. Most go to guys will just take every shot if they are behind in the 4th quarter because they feel like they have to. There is no player in the NBA that hates losing more than KG. The guy's a true professional.

If Amare can develop the same attitude as KG he could be close to the type of player KG is but that's a tall order.

I agree, like I said before, I don't think Amare will be better than KG, but he is developing very very well in only his third season.

Amare needs to work on his rebounding, passing, post-game, and keep expanding his range in order to become as good as garnett
Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.

Re: Will Amare be BETTER than Garnett?

Could he be better? I think he could. Will he? Time will tell. The guy certainly has the potential to. He's an absolute beast for us. In his 3rd year out of HIGH SCHOOL, he's 4th in the league in scoring, and has the 2nd highest FG% in the league. He is so dominating with the ball, its awesome. All he has to do is harness his rebounding his ability and improve some of his post game, and he'll be a superstar.

Garnett or Duncan level? I dont know yet, but he can certainly be.

EDIT: Oh, and to the guy who said Marion or Nash arent stars.....please

He's just can't beleive a little Canadian white guy is going to be this year's MVP. Geez what kind of odds could you have got in Vegas for that a couple of years ago.

Thing that jumps out at me about Amare is his free-throw attempts; he is averaging 10 a game!
