Maybe if we didn't judge based on ESPN highlights we would gather enough information about his play to see he's developing a nice jumper or that he runs the floor well and has great anticipation on offense. He's also becoming one of the best finishers, i'm not just talking about dunks.

With that said I wouldn't really compare Amare to either Dunan or Garnett, they play different styles at a similar positions.
Yes...really. Pheonix is my Western Conference team and I watch them 65-70 games per year on the PASS.

    My judgement comes from that.

Maybe if WE didn't try to diminish other people's opinions with all of the facts, WE wouldn't look kind of stupid right now.

I don't, I'm not alone in my opinion about his development, it's consensus around the organization and local sports media that his commitment to working on his weaker skills is paying off.

I apologize for assuming that you base your opinions on highlights and apologize that your opinion is equivalent to someone who watches highlight reels yet watches a large percentage of his games.

            Chris Bosh??

Why are you putting Chris Bosh in the same category as James and Amare? He's a decent player, but that's about it. James and Amare are All Stars and will probably win MVP's in the future. Bosh doesn't quite fit that description.

I never said he was as good as either of them.

Re: Will Amare be BETTER than Garnett?

I know this thread has moved on, but just wanna point something out. gooden measured 6' 8 3/4" barefoot at the draft a few years ago. Amare measured 6' 8 1/2" barefoot. But, Amare's wingspan measured 7' 1 3/4", Drew's was around 7'. I also heard at the Olympics Amare measured 6' 9 3/4" barefoot, so he really is ONLY 6'10" or a little more. He may have grown a little, but at 22 yrs old, he's probably done. Just like Lebron, who measured 6' 7 1/4" barefoot for the draft, but doctors for the Cavs said he is growing last year, and based on his growth plates on XRay, he has 1 to 1 1/2 inches left to grow, so he'll eventually be about 6'9 or 6'9 1/2", his wingspan measured 7' 1/4" at the draft, maybe that'll get longer since he's not done growing. Amazing that James is nearly the same size as Amare. In fact, Amare only weighed 233 pounds at the draft, James weighed 245 pounds with 6 % body fact at draft, and he's still growing taller!!
