Around the late '70s the media began emphasizing the individual aspect of the game with a focus on fancy dunk shots, dribblings, and no look passes. Many of the older guys who were still active at the time (guys like John Havlicek, Walt Frazier, Jim McMillian) just laughed and remarked on how little the media muppets truly understood about basketball. Those players always used to say that you need to watch how a player peforms without the ball in hand to gauge how good they are.

Many of the "new things" the documentary shows have been for years in the books, but now they're materializing as filmed testimonials/highlights.Only respectable people deserve respect, you destroyed the game.Comment

So I don't know how but my "setup" just auto-downloaded episodes 3 and 4...they have leaked somehow with timestamps and "property of ESPN films" on it. I'm probably gonna watch, don't know if I can hold out for the TV version until Sunday!
Edit: got the leaks now all the way to episode 8. So if you don't wanna wait, they are out there.Last edited by cima; 04-22-2020, 07:41 PM.Comment

So you got them how exactly? Mine are just set to record on my DVR, I’m guessing that’s not what you’re taking about?

Yeah my bad, I was under the impression when I first read his post that something had basically glitched and leaked the other episodes not that he was finding them through those sources.Comment

Anybody willing to share that ESPN+ info to enable their fellow comrade to watch Phil break down the Triangle in full?

I watched episode 3 and you can tell with these versions there's still some fine-tune editing to be done but overall it's definitely watchable. I may end up holding out and just watch them finalized as they're released.Comment

Re: ESPN Presents: The Last Dance, a 10-part documentary on 97-98 Chicago Bulls
So the director of the series will be coming on the radio here in Chicago every Monday to recap the previous nights episodes. Sounds like this series is really going to be amazing. I can’t wait to see it. He says they’ll touch on the Bulls getting over the hump against the Bad Boys from the perspective of both the Bulls and the Pistons in this series. They’ll cover the Migraine game for Scottie and the 1.8 game and there’s more. Says that Isaiah Thomas will probably be the trending topic after this Sundays episodes.

The Bill Wennington interviews have been pretty great.
Edit: not interviews, more like Q&A
