Welp, with second - string big men approaching $8 - $10 million annually that means Jakob is likely gonna be shown a bag. It was nice having him around for 2 years.

Damn, that Kawhi Leonard trade has amounted to absolute **** (except Keldon Johnson). I hate that man even more, now.

I know it's only been one day, but the sooner he signs outside of San Antonio the easier I can sleep at night.

A nice bench piece on any team, but I'm surprised he's never made it as a starter.

Kind of interesting when you look at his analytics. His numbers like VORP and WS are actually good and deserving of the top 10 pick in the draft.

Man, I was hoping more around the range of $5 - $7 million per but seems like teams are (now) willing to "overpay" traditional big men.

The market set his price - give or take - and the Spurs re-signed before someone could try to really overpay him

A nice bench piece on any team, but I'm surprised he's never made it as a starter.

He was stuck behind Jonas in Toronto & now he's been behind Aldridge for 2 years. His opportunity should be arriving soon to start. I'm just hopeful he can show a lot more on the offensive end.

His team defense is nearly elite, his rebounding is just okay, he sets great ("illegal") screens & is great in the locker room. He does get outmuscled (weak core strength?) by the more dominant centers (see the videos of him against Embiid & Jokic in the bubble) which is also concerning too.

Mostly Poeltl just needs to add more to his game on offense, though. I like his little "standstill" floater he utilizes (ala Steven Adams), he's efficient (if not "soft") inside but doesn't have a reliable hook shot, mid - range jumper or obviously a shot from three-point range. Needs to show more om offense with the team willing to invest in him & if he/we really want him to supplant LaMarcus (making him tradeable).

Glad to have him back even if it's for a little too much.

Now, hopefully someone will remove the albatross named Bryn Forbes from the neck of all Spur fans.
