Magic has been involved w/that organization quite heavily, as he said on TNT, he couldn't even comment on potential head coaches b/c of his role on that team, that right there is someone you left off the list that knows the inner workings. If you failed to mention someone like Magic, who knows how many other people Shaq knows that are involved/Have intimate knowledge of the situation, that would be willing to share that w/an old friend and ally of that organization, Shaq.
There's no doubt Shaq has inside sources with the organization. He's a very popular man. What I don't understand is why does he need to know info about the organization when he himself said that he wants nothing to do with the organization.

shaq is probably feeding the media if anything. All this laker talk is media hype, and I HATE EVERY BIT OF IT! lol

I don't think phil is gonna make any difference in coaching if he returns. He should go lock himself up in his little shack in montana. If anywhere he should coach the bulls, then we'll see if he really has coaching talent, or maybe the hornets/hawks/warriors....one of those low end teams.

I just had to point this out.

You guys are all naming the owner/CEO/Gm as "inside sources"

You do realize a NBA team usually employs thousands of employees. Shaq can have connection with one (or more of them).

Shaq is spewing hot garbage out of his pie hole. I add this to his famous one liners like "I'm not fat, I just workout". No other player in the history has done as much as he has done to comment on the Lakers. Awww Shaq, is the widdle big man's feelings hurt? Please, he said himself that he didn't know Phil wasn't coming back until he saw it on ESPN, but now his inside source is giving him info. You have to be an idiot to even believe it, and shame on the reporter for not following up with "Uh, Shaq if your inside source is so good, then how come you didn't know Phil wasn't coming back until you saw it on ESPN"?

and even though a franchise may of thousands of employees as you say...why would they have any inside info??

info like this would be limited to rudy's friends, or the big name members (owners/gm/ceo/pres./people like that) of the franchise, unless someone was doing some snooping around and eavesdropping

just becuase they work there doesn't mean they know what's going on

Wow driddy, if some of the stuff we say about Kobe makes us "haters", you just defined the word w/that crap about Shaq. If shaq is so fat, like Oliver Miller, why does he dominate? It doesn't matter, anyway, as long as he can play, and last I checked, he's played better than Kobe anyway. Just check the standings to see who's the better player. AS to why shaq would ask, I would if I was him, we're all curious as to what went down, so to rip Shaq for asking or being interested is pretty hypocritical. gimme a break, ya'll act like shaq's mom or something, shaq can do what he wants anyway. And making fun of shaq's feelings is pretty hilarious, wow, making fun of a guy on a message board, to bad you wouldn't have the guff to say that to shaq's face, cuz he'd stuff your arse in a garbage can upside down. Love it when people act so bad on the internet. Eeww, chuck norris/clint eastwood on board!

FWIW Lakers fans are upset that Shaq is in shape and winning in a big way in the east now. I'd say there are some bitter feelings there

If Shaq makes the Finals, or is even lucky enough to win, can you imagine how pissed Kobe/LA fans will be? It'll be ugly all the anger and resentment.
