I am not here much any more and Ill leave this be, but i have to say I agree with a lot of you. I also agree with what JO is saying.

Looking at these numbers, and saying that no one person should be held responsible:

Pacers Players Total= 134 Games Suspended
Pistons Players Total = 9 Games Suspended
NBA Punishment for Pistons fans = None.
NBA Punishment for Palace = None.

Does that make it seem like blame went around to everyone fairly?

    Thats for you to decide
    I agree.

Okay,so when Ben Wallace throws something at him,he does nothing. But when a fan throws it,it's more than he can bear?

What a gutless article. Its always someone else's fault not mine. Sounds like a crybaby to me. If he was a man he would blame his teammate for ruining his season and the organization for having that piece of crap on his team.

It was only members of the Pacers that went into the crowd. Therefore they needed to be the most harshly punished. There were Piston fans that were banned from the Palace for life, or had there season tickets revoked. I don't know how you feel the Palace staff should have been punished. There's no way security could be prepared for players going in to the stands attacking fans. Ron Artest is to blame for the inflamation of the situation. His responsibility was to point out the fan he felt threw the cup at him, and allow the Palace security to do their jobs. Instead, he charged into the crowd and incited a near riot.

The fans that threw the cup, chair, punches, and those who came onto the court have had charges filed against them (and will probably serve time) and are banned from the Palace indefinately. They have been held responsible for their actions. What more can you do?

Grandmaster1 asks a valid question. Artest has the capacity to back down from Ben shoving him in the neck and face, yet a half-empty plastic cup to the chest is too much for him to endure?

Regardless, they have played twice since November without incident. It's in the past, and we've debated this topic endlessly. Like Skins4Life said, your opinion is for you to decide... you all know what you saw. Arguing about it now makes the thread worthy of the "Welcome to last week" pics.

That was was banned, but so was Ben Wallace's brother. As of a few weeks ago he was reinstated, although it has been kept very quiet.

I was just making a point, but to clear it up, I really dont have a big problem with the way the fans were handeled. I have more of a problem with the fact the Pistons CEO (the white guys, I cant remember his name) said that it was all Ron Artests fault, and would sholder no blame to the fans. Also, the Pistons will not be punished at all. I understand how security works for these games (blowouts = security filters towards the parking lot) but I also saw security running at Artest and not doing a damn thing from keeping multiple people entering the floor.

As for Artest, I wont even get into that. He just has issue(s) that I will never be able to comprehend. You ask me how he is able to back down from a shove to the neck and yet still overreact to a cup being thrown at him.

I have been asking that same question since that fatefull day and I can never quite understand it/him...................................

I'm not going to comment on the malice at the palace, that horse has been beaten dead many times over all ready...

I heard on the radio that there's a press conference by Indiana today at 2pm, with O'Neal, Artest, Jackson, and others there...Could Artest's suspension be over? Trade? Who knows...
