Watching the highlights from the Pels-Nuggets last night and as good as Zion was offensively, he might have singlehandedly lost that game defensively down the stretch. Poor and missed rotations, beat by Millsap off the dribble, unable to get around a Jamal Murray screen, etc.

No way that's on him alone.

This is becoming a repeating occurrence

Guy is dominant offensively in the paint but he's such a defensive liability

That's why I said the other days. Complain all your want about Pels getting the national broadcast a few times. I can deal with it as long as Zion is playing. Worth it, every single time.

One of those plays were Paul Millsap. He's a pretty strong dude. But even he's getting knocked over like a little doll.

Pels are my favourite team to watch right now. Fun squad with a nice variety of different profiles.

Cause he wants to "team up" like LeBron has, but it's only ok when LBJ does it?!

Durant and the "**** boys" (not what I would call those dudes, personally) aren't different than a majority of stars in 'today's NBA.'

They all want to get paid and win titles, so the easiest way to do both is "teaming up." Like it or not....

And hopefully guys like Giannis, Jimmy and few others (Joel, Ben, etc.) have the counter feeling of wanting to beat these "teaming up" stars.

I tend to agree with you. That unit in general is terribly defensively. Zion really needs to improve defensively. I've seen what people are talking about. But the whole team literally doesn't play defense.

The LeBron-centric outlook on this is ridiculous. Kyrie, KD, Harden and Griffin want to win a championship because they’re professional athletes who are all highly competitive. They didn’t join together to ‘stop a 36 year old’. It’s probable they’ll have to beat LeBron to win a championship but that’s just coincidence. If LeBron had retired those same dudes likely would have ended up together again. KD and Kyrie are friends, KD and Harden played together on a Thunder team that could have become a dynasty, Blake and DeAndre Jordan both had the best parts of their careers playing with each other and are really good friends.

If you're the anointed one by the fans and the media and you're a sub .500 team it doesn't matter that you're 20 years old and that that no one else guards either, you will get the lion's share of attention.

IMO if you get the adulation for what you do well, then you should get the same scrutiny for what you do poorly.

That's fair. The strange thing is he played pretty good defense @ Duke. So I don't know if it's conditioning or what. But he sure wasn't lazy in college. He was a ball hawker.

With the whole squad healthy it should be a Title win or it's the greatest choke ever IMO.
