I don’t like anything about Trae Young. His hair? Wack. His gear? Wack. His game? Wack. Get this guy outta here.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs - 1st Round Discussion Thread
Chuck also needs to realize Trae is in his 3rd season just 22 years old and is the leading scorer on a 5 seeded playoff team. He’s also been one of the top scorers for the past two seasons.
This stage of his career Curry was just a rookie on a 26 win team and didn’t reach All-Star level play until 4 years later down the line.
Trae isn’t Curry, but he’s one of the few players in the league with the skill set to become a somewhat similar type of player. Trying to compare him to, or refusing to compare him to a top 5 player in the league at his peak isn’t truly fair for Trae and where he’s at in his career.
Steph was a more consistent outside shooter from day 1 than Trae is now.. but it took Steph probably 4-5 years before he even started regularly putting up some of the shots Trae takes now. Regardless Trae’s passing abilities and that unexpected floater game makes more of a Curry/Nash/Parker mix type of guy, but I still think it’ll be interesting to see what his outside shooting looks like 2/3 years down the line.
