the problem I see with a Ben / GS trade is Philly doesn't need Wiseman. The two lottery picks I they might not even like and if they do won't help them win next year. Those 1st round picks/swaps from GS won't be worth anything for the next few years.

They could deal Moody or Kuminga. I wouldn't lol. But they have some chips to play with besides Wiseman.

They could always involve another team or teams.

Simmons prefers a California team. But he doesn't have any leverage in that matter since he has 4 years left. Any deal would need a starting caliber PG in return since Sixers don't have another true PG on the roster, Maxey is still learning how to play PG.

Alright here we go. Charlotte has emerged as with “strong” interest in an offer sheet for Lauri according to Shams. We’ll see how this goes

He would be. But Charlotte would be dumb as hell to deal him. He impressed the hell out of me down the stretch last year. That man was hooping hooping.

                      Hard choice for him.

                      - He's probably most valuable to the Nets.

                      - He's familiar with the Warriors.

                      - Rob Pelinka was his agent.

He’d be more valuable to the Warriors than he would us just for the fact that he already has a chemistry/familiarity with them.

If we had the bread, I would’ve want us to take shot at Oubre but it’s looking like he’s headed to Charlotte.

Many more questions face that roster though

I love Klay but the chances of him coming back the same player are incredibly slim. He'll still be a Top 3 shooter in the league once he gets his form back but I don't think he'll even be half of what he was defensively

And again I really hate the Oubre and Wiggins duo on that team. They feel really redundant with each other, though Oubre is the better defender but Wigs is the better scorer. Neither one is an above average shooter lol, Idk I just think they'd look a lot better if they were to able to flip one or both of them for a really good wing. I know they liked Ingles a lot but somebody more defensively skilled would be ideal

I also just don't really have a lot of faith and trust in Wiseman. Feels like Marvin Bagley again

I don’t think Klay has to be 100% of old Klay. I think people forget that this wasn’t a “bad” team last year. They finished 9th or whatever it was but they were good enough to be closer to middle of the pack when Steph was healthy. Klay just needs to be good not necessarily amazing. Most of his success is IQ related to begin with. He was never a great defender based on his athleticism. He actually might be one of the best defenders at his quickness level that’s ever even played the game.

I think Wiggins was a substantially better defender last year. On his career sure, for a large part he was completely under expectations and came into the league literally one of the worst defenders in the entire NBA. But last year, I thought he definitely would have been a better 2nd team defender than Kahwi.. along with a few others, but how often are voters looking at current year and not factoring past season notoriety.. they’ve been botching defensive teams for as long as I’ve been alive.

I don’t think Oubre is staying with the team. So I don’t think that fit matters.

Also feels way too early to call anything on Wiseman. I could understand not being high on him, or being super high on him, but it’s far too early to call that anything but speculation. He played like 30 something games dealing with injuries last season. He’ll be a better player this year than he was last year just from Steph and Klay being on the floor with him, forget natural progression.

Looney will be back, Moody and Kuminga even if not great will likely be better than guys like Mulder, Poole, Mannion, especially with how well Moody can shoot. Plus they will likely be flipped for something anyways if they can’t contribute. I liked the additions of Otto Porter and Bjelica as well.

Both Golden State and the Nets will return far more chemistry than the Lakers, I like some of the Laker moves, dislike some, and we can argue about fit, age, injury history, etc all night long but regardless they are going to have to get big, starter production out of Ellington, or Monk, or Bazemore, and whatever you feel about the other teams Joe Harris or Andrew Wiggins both are substantially better upgrades for that role. Not that the Lakers can’t also be the best team at the end of it all, but I really feel Golden State is just as much in the mix as either of them.
