Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs - 2nd Round Discussion Thread
Hundred percent agree. The reason I said med range. It's because everyone is so hype focused on his 3 point shot. "If he got that down. He'd be unstoppable."
I think most of the Bucks problems are defensively. They been sticking hard to their drop defense coverage of pick and rolls for 2 straight games now. I think it might be time to remove Brook Lopez from the line up. Move Giannis to center, PJ at 4 and start Pat. And switch every action. Their hoping the Nets miss.

Besides the above. The Bucks are just literally getting out hustled on every topic possible.
Those isolation the Nets run. The only answer I have is to double team. But Kevin has been a more than willing passer. Which springs the Nets into rotating the ball around for even higher percent shots.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs - 2nd Round Discussion Thread
To appease the fans? What has Giannis added to his game the last few years? He still seems very raw. Just because it's enough to be great during the reg season doesn't mean he should be satisfied. He could be tearing the league a part and be the best player in this series if he had a reliable jump shot or more counter but he will most likely be outshined by more polished offensive players like kyrie, durant, harden to name a few. Is it a coincidence that he's been underwhelming the last couple of years in the playoffs ?
They too were regular season killers and clearly elite, but for whatever reason were easily disposed of come playoff time.
Either you need to add counters, become more versatile, play like a more traditional big man (posting up, setting screens, etc.) or link up with another 1A level superstar (again, similar to Durant and Davis) that removes some pressure.
I still place a lot of blame on coach Bud, and his unwillingness to adjust possibly for the third postseason in a row, but the Giannis needs to shoulder some of the blame too.
He's been extremely underwhelming on both ends and like OJ said, he's playing without a sense of urgency (which is very worrying).

Clearly, their games aren't anything alike but their physical profiles were similar at one point.
Obviously, Giannis was able to put on muscle and now they look vastly different.
Not to mention he's the poster boy for losing to another elite player and then joining them to "tag along" for a title. [emoji849]
Giannis hopefully won't need to "be like Durant" to get to a championship and can do it on his own.

I'm the biggest non - Bucks fan of Giannis on OS, or have defended him more than most, but he's treading down the path of Garnett & Robinson, TBH.

So let me take back something I posted before. I thought Bud was drop covering the pick and rolls in game 1. But he actually hedge the pick and rolls to start the game. Then went back to drop after they got to the basket too many times in the first. I don't think Bud is doing a great job of using Giannis space against the Nets. Blake is sitting in the paint waiting for him. Get Giannis in some DHO with Kris Middleton. That will open the lane right up. But I didn't see that until the 3rd quarter. It was over by then.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs - 2nd Round Discussion Thread
I don't think he should be the first option offensively, no. He should be a finisher/face-up guy that occasionally drives from the perimeter. He shouldn't be the primary ball-handler or creator. He just doesn't have that kind of skillset, which is fine. He's still a top 5 player in the league without being the primary guy on offense because of how much value he brings on both ends of the floor.NFL: Bills

All the rotations issues, scheme issues, etc. that are popping up in this series are things that we already veered away from this year. We've just totally reverted back to what doesn't work.NFL: Bills

Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs - 2nd Round Discussion Thread
The crazy thing is this was one of the main adjustments Bud made this season; utilizing Giannis off-ball and when he is on-ball and sees the defense playing that far off, he'd go into Draymond Green mode and use that space to get into a DHO and give one of our shooters a wide open shot. The Bucks have just turned their brains off these first two games; both the players and the coach.

A less embarrassing loss to the Nets is what I was hoping for. I thought Brooklyn would take the series in 5 (which could still end up being the case). I think the Bucks are one of the top 5 or so teams in the league but the gap between them and a healthy Brooklyn is very large. I didn't expect to get thoroughly embarrassed by them without Harden the way we have been through two games though.NFL: Bills

This should of been a better series. And it's the adjustments in my opinion that are hurting the Bucks now the player right now. I'd shorten my rotations and go into a small-ball approachHands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories
