I'm not saying he just doesn't need to get better and improve in all those areas. But the expectation seems to just be "why can't he add a midrange pull-up like Kawhi" and that's most likely just never going to happen. He's never going to be a good enough shooter to just pick a spot, get to it, rise up and connect at a 50% rate all through the playoffs. And even if he somehow does it's not going to happen over night, or the span of 1 off-season.

We’re doing it with Giannis and I can see the seeds already being planted for when it’s time to do the same with Luka and his “baby fat” deal, lol.#RespectTheCultureComment

Saw this on the Bucks sub lol, they are over Bud
<div style="width: 100%; height: 0px; position: relative; padding-bottom: 56.250%;"><iframe src="https://streamable.com/e/4fxbk6" frameborder="0" width="100%" height="100%" allowfullscreen style="width: 100%; height: 100%; position: absolute;"></iframe></div>
This is hilarious, because that exactly how I sound throughout the entire game yesterday. I was sitting next to these Bucks fans. And my wife was like he kept giving you confusing looks like "You going for Nets or Bucks here?"
This should of been a better series. And it's the adjustments in my opinion that are hurting the Bucks now the player right now. I'd shorten my rotations and go into a small-ball approachPSN / Xbox GT - BLUEnYELLOW28Comment

Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs - 2nd Round Discussion Thread
Giannis is most dangerous when he's rebounding the ball and pushing it up the court. I think by defending KD, it's taking him away from the boards and he can't generate those self-made fast breaks.
He led the league with 8.2 fast break points per game in the regular season, but in the playoffs, he's averaging less than 4. Combined with the horrific three point shooting of the team, the Bucks haven't had a chance.
I think they get right at home and start to hit some shots from deep and win at least one game, maybe two in the series before getting eliminated.Comment

Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs - 2nd Round Discussion Thread
I think he's the perfect 5 to complement Giannis when the Giannis thing is working, but right now the Giannis thing really isn't working..
Side note: Is Jrue Holiday possibly the lite version of CP3? Dude is REALLY solid, even in the postseason.Comment

Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs - 2nd Round Discussion Thread
I don’t even know why Bud insists on leaving Brook in the lineup and putting Giannis on KD anyways. I think their best bet is to go smaller. Giannis should be fine in a small ball 5 matchup with Blake. Let PJ and Middleton guard KD, maybe Giannis in spurts if they bring Portis into the game.
Just doesn’t make sense. Feels like Bud is sticking to his guns despite that it plays right into BK’s strengths.

So what you all are saying is that Giannis needs to go to Olajuwon Camp. Cha-ching!OSHA Inspector for the NBA.Comment

In-game adjustments are underrated. I'm with you. I'd put Giannis on Bruce Brown personally. Middleton on KD, Jrue on Kyrie, PJ on Blake, and Forbes/Connaughton on Harris. Plays much better into the Bucks strength of letting Giannis grab the board and pushing the pace.Comment

Someone said Bud seems to get the SVGesque coaching yips when faced with adversity...
Can't say I don't see a bit of that, lolLast edited by The 24th Letter; 06-08-2021, 03:01 PM.Comment

Blake going from not dunking in a whole year with the Pistons to posterizing Giannis 6 months later is the real life version of that “call an ambulance but not for me” meme.
