Raptors/Clippers tomorrow might not happen.

Government changed capacity to 1000 people (was previously 50%, which was around 9000 fans).

Dont see how you have a game in 24 hours when theres barely any fans, and somehow you need to figure out who is allowed to be in that select group of people who attend games, as I imagine the SSH number is at least several thousand.

If the Raptors do go back to TB or something, just tank again and go into 22-23 with Barnes and another top 5 pick.

The teams can play, but we'll see if the NBA has the game happen or postpone it for a later date so that there could be more fans (aka money) at the game. There could be a situation where it's an empty arena because how do you decide in the next 12 hours or less which 1000 SSH get to go and which dont?

NHL has postponed some dates simply because it wouldn't be worth it to have a game with no fans. I dont think NBA hasn't had to deal with that yet this year, so we will see.

Warriors/Nuggets tonight won't be happening.


And latest on Raptors is that they're not selling tickets. Doesn't mean no fans, but it does mean no ticket sales.

I'd guess the 1000 person limit includes players, coaches, officials, higher ups, security, broadcasters and so on. So by the end of this all, assuming the NBA/Raptors allows this game to go on, it might be a few hundred people, maybe frontline workers, and that's it?

"The Cleveland Cavaliers are in serious talks on a deal to acquire Lakers guard Rajon Rondo, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. In wake of Ricky Rubio’s season-ending ACL injury, Cleveland has need for backcourt help and is working on the potential move.

Probably just a roster spot and help with tax hit. At his salary alone, not much on the Cavs they can get for him alone.

Per a cap guy on Twitter


Lakers getting off Rajon Rondo without taking back salary would knock them down one luxury tax bracket and save $7M. Would also create a $1.7M TPE.

Cleveland can acquire Rondo without trading anyone but would have to waive someone first since they’re at 15 players.

Probably just a roster spot and help with tax hit. At his salary alone, not much on the Cavs they can get for him alone.

Not sure who gets moved to bring Rondo in.

Best case scenario would be Pangos cos that dude sucks but he’s also one of our only veteran point guards. Probably Tacko.

Given his Boston/Chicago links though and the fact I just think he’s a shadow of what he ever was I don’t want him, but we’ll see.

Joel should’ve easily had 30 in that half.

But that man loves his perimeter shots so he’s gotta get those up for whatever reason.

Too many TOs for us too.
