I don't believe they get anything, but they can reenter the draft the next year if they choose (or just sign elsewhere like in Europe)?

IIRC, isn't that what happens with all those euro stash picks? Guys just don't sign, but their rights are retained by the team that drafted them. According to basketball reference, Szymon Szewczyk is the longest active draft rights held, going back to the 2003 draft.

Is it general consensus Jordan wanted to lose those games and win the championship on Father's Day to give the most respect for his dad?

      Nah i doubt that.

He probably wasent 100% focused on the game with father’s day approaching.
Couple that with being guarded by the glove and yeah it should affect his game.

I do think there was no way in hell he would allow himself and the team to loose on father’s day though..

They get nothing and the team holds their rights incase they actually move to the nba.

Teams would then try to convince those guys to make the move at some point.

Not sure if this has recently changed though.

I would personally give that a near zero percent chance of being possible.

It's one thing to pay homage to someone with a single shot or by wearing a band in their honor or whatever other small, individual nod comes to mind.

It's quite another to spend four days convincing your teammates to purposely tank two NBA Finals games so you could experience a personally touching moment by winning on a symbolic holiday. Or worse, to not tell your teammates to do anything in the way of tanking while instead making it your private, personal goal to purposely ensure your team loses two games so you could have a moment of personal glory by winning on Father's Day.

Basically, there's no real way to cut that possibility that does not sound egregiously insane, with respect.

Regarding what Jordan said, "I had no problem with Gary Payton. I had other things on my mind," I read that—as I did many of his quotes from that doc—as somebody who's sitting there, being interviewed for hours, possibly wavering in and out of inebriation, speaking from atop the mountain. When you know the facts are you defeated Gary Payton and Seattle SuperSonics, you get sit back and talk trash about how you were never bothered about Gary Payton and the Seattle SuperSonics.

Crazy how life is. Dude could've died just like that. Wish him the best recovery and hopefully his basketball dream isn't over.

One of those many instances that shows how no matter how healthy someone is, anyone can be prone to some sort of health scare or worse.

He's a clone! Bronny will be joining him and will be cloned too!

Never mind, the Reptilians will take me out if I continue to disclose their plan here.

I know that **** got Silver’s attention yesterday

LeBron James and Draymond Green playfully indicated Monday they’d accept paychecks from the controversial Arab regime. But that possibility is no joke to the NBA.

It probably makes the NBA owners a little worried, but the NBA has the advantage of infrastructure and being based in most of the players' home country.

Obviously, that could change quickly with all the money the Saudi regime can throw around.

Still, I see them attempting to make in-roads with an ownership stake before trying to create an alternative league.

They already have leagues over there.

But as soon as that first “name” player gets and takes an offer, especially if it’s a significant amount for a year or so, more will follow.

I can already think of a certain bearded one who may be the first to take the check.

If they’re afraid of the Saudi’s they should get rid of the salary cap.

The "bearded one" would absolutely hate it there and would try to sabotage his one-year deal.

I think you know the answer to that question..... if there's a conspiracy theory out there, it's gonna get tossed on any and every situation, especially this one.
