From what I read over the summer, they brought Nurse in and he turned them down and Giannis vouched for Griffin.

I saw a report from Marc Stein, that stated the Nurse was one of their top choices, but Gannis wanted to go in a different direction. I felt Nurse to Bucks was almost a lock until the reports that Giannis was vouching for Griffin came out. At the time, I felt that Nurse was giving his assistant an opportunity at a HC job he was getting vouched for and Nurse was opting for the Philly because of his history with Morey.

I do think Griffin should get another chance again. But, this was a really tough ask for a rookie HC to jump into a situation where it is championship or bust. That's the type of job where you want an established retread coach with pedigree. But, I don't think Doc Rivers is that right coach either lol

I can wrap my mind around it still. Like they just said on TNT. They are on the books for Bud, Griffin and now Doc. WTF are y'all stupid?

But back to the fact that Doc Rivers is the choice LMAO. First I'm happy he's not in the both for main games on ESPN [emoji23]. So I wonder who they will replace him with. Breen and Doris probably won't last long. But what has Doc Rivers done since 2008 when he won the chip with Boston. Has he even been to a conference championship recently? I can't even remember [emoji23]. I feel like his former assistants have done better than him.

It's crazy he's finessed what 3 teams now. I might be completely wrong too. And Doc leads them to a champions. But man his record doesn't shout that at me.

What makes it even funnier about Doc was that in the Woj article it stated that Doc has been a consultant for Griffin and the Bucks for the past month. Then now he's the top candidate lol, some inside job stuff if you ask me lol

That's almost similar to the situation where Ty Lue was supposed to be the Sixers coach and Doc had vouched for him. But when Doc blew the 3-1 lead against Nuggets, he swooped in and wanted the Sixers job for himself lol

Former Grizzlies and Kings HC Dave Joerger is a candidate to join Doc Rivers' staff - Woj

I guess this is the back up plan? How much money you got?

Joerger was with him in Philly. He was the offensive coach. I wonder how they will change up the coaching staff in the middle of season

Luckily for him, those 2 don’t have history unlike a certain big man…

Another team that has no plan or identity, just like the Nets.

And teams like that usually are awful.
