I simply don't like streetball, illegal moves and taunting isn't appealing to me.

Always felt this way, as a little kid I would want to fight other kids who thought it was okay to double dribble and carry and travel during games.

I couldn't get enough of the shirts.

Oh man, they were legit just a t-shirt company at the start and they used to have their product in Eastbay every month. Regrettably, I absolutely went through a phase where I collected those faceless man shirts with the snarky sayings underneath ("I'm sorry, I thought you could play" or "They call me the bus driver because I'm taking you to school.") That memory keeps me humble.

Semi-related, I bought a pair of And1 shoes in the summer of '97 and I swear it had to have been one the first And1 shoes of all-time but I don't remember their name so I can never find them on the internet. Wore them on my first day of eighth grade.

I could see being annoyed if the rules were ambiguous like that. I know I always got called out for traveling or palming, it wasn't even up for debate lol.

Seeing this made me think of that YouTube video from years ago where it described every type of baller you’d see on the court, lol.

You had “Rules Guy” who called everything, “Accessories Guy” who had all the arm sleeves, shoes, headbands, “Excuses Guy”. I think VDusen posted it in the Pick up Players thread a while back but I can’t remember the name of it smh
