Even someone like Cam Whitmore who doesn't project to be with top 8 of their rotation.

I think Beal just has two years. If he was willing to go to Brooklyn, Claxton and Johnson for Beal and #10 would work. But, Nets already has 4 firsts this year. I just don't see Beal getting traded until next year when he has 1 year left on deal.

I think the Wizards are another team that would make sense for either Beal or Green. If Phoenix waive Martin and Micic, they could get under the 2nd apron. Phoenix could trade Beal + #10 for Middleton and Smart. Phoenix would get off the Beal contract, Smart fills a need of a defensive guard, and Middleton & Smart are on expiring. Washington gets #10(plus some more), so they could use that plus #6 to move up. Or Washington could go after Green. Jalen Green for Smart plus filler and firsts.

But who'll take a guy making 110m over the next 2 years (unless Beal is stupid enough to turn down a 57m option).

The Nets are a team who has LOTS of room this offseason (most of their roster are FAs). If they're not planning on making a big move, maybe they take Beal along with picks?
The question would be would Beal would want to go to Brooklyn. Brooklyn can match salary easily. But, Suns would have to give up #10 and maybe more. How enticing is #10 when Brooklyn already has 4 firsts this year. I mean if Spurs or Philly was willing to trade down for #6 & #10.

It would feel like Nets and Wizards are the only realistic options for Beal

Doesn't mean Nets will keep him.

They'd be taking on Beals salary and getting compensation in return and just waive him and he winds up somewhere on a cheap contract. Maybe Milwaukee if Giannis stays?

I think I saw that if a team waives and stretch Beal, it would result in dead cap of $22M for 5 years. That's crazy, man. Don't think it's good cap management to have $22M in dead money on the books for 5 years. Heck, I remember it being a big deal that Luol Deng was on the Lakers books for $5M for a few years.

At this point, I don't see Giannis leaving this season. I know the reports of him wanting to see what the Bucks do. But, they are VERY limited what they can do on top of having Dame out. I wouldn't be surprised if Portis, Lopez, and Trent Jr are all gone. If I'm the Rockets, I'd be heated if Giannis becomes available. If Haliburton's injury is an Achilles injury, The East would be extremely wide open.

Who do you guys think is the next big move? The draft is in 3 days and FA in 8 days. Unless it is Garland/Allen, I don't see a big-name move. I could see something happening around the draft.

Knicks have moved up in the Giannis odds.

With injuries in the East that could sideline guys for the early part of the season and possibly put them on load management during the year, things could be even more wide open.

            What could Knicks offer be?

OG, Robinson, Hukporti(for salary reasons) plus Wizards 2026 1st is the best I can even see them offering. They could add more 1sts if it's a 3 team deal and the 1sts come from trading Bridges as well.

A late night pretty big trade, seems like Boston isn’t done. I wouldn’t want to pay jrue for that long

Looks like Boston got out of the 2nd apron
That gives Brooklyn 5 first round picks this year. I can definitely see them package some of those to move up

I guess Boston's mailing it in next season with no Tatum and a new owner who wants to cut payroll. At least they have their championship.

Don't know about the Durant trade to Houston. What does he have, a one to two year window left, plus will he last the whole season injury-free?

You knew it was gonna happen with new ownership, but Raptors parting ways with Masai could go down as the worst move in franchise history.

This is a guy who turned them from a joke bottom 5 franchise in the league into a regular playoff team and eventually nba champs.

He's the kind of guy who loves the city and would've stayed forever.

The timing is weird too. Waiting until after the draft and right before Free Agency. He drafred his style of players. Seeing other organizations fire their GMs/Presidents right before the playoffs, should've given them the justification to do it then

If Lonzo can stay healthy, he's a good fit. He could play alongside either Mitchell or Garland

                              Here we go again...

Malik Beasley now the latest player under investigation for gambling.

Pistons with their best season in a decade and Beasley being a borderline top 5 player on that team, that'll hurt them if he's gone. He's also a free agent so I doubt anyone even touches him even if he's found innocent.

Porter got banned from the league, if Beasley is guilty too, he's definitely gone.

Hornets will barely any size on their roster after this.
