That dumb Draft Kings bull**** is annoying me. I don’t understand why I have to see this nonsense while I’m trying to watch basketball. Who cares about their little ad playing while the game is going on?

I’m loving how the Grizzlies are looking so far. Tough to start the season without Triple J, but at least they are looking decent. Granted it’s against the Knicks…

Steven Adams with his put backs, tap outs, screens, and big man passing has to create as many easy looks for his team as anybody in the league.

OJ, who is the starting PF for Memphis? Never heard of him prior to this game.

All the effort these teams put into halftime shows...what's so wrong with just having some kids basketball group getting a chance to play a halfcourt game for a few minutes?

At this point, is there much point of the kinds of awkward halftime acts we often see, or would it be better if they just put the TV feed of the local networks halftime report on for fans to watch?

Raptors one tonight looked like they really flopped big time. Not that them not flopping would've been much better.

It was some speed painter who was painting a Raptors player. The painting was mostly done when they begun, and they knocked over all the paint on the floor. That worked out well...

Maybe related, the Raptors GM was on their broadcast and when the interviewer asked him about the creative way they're building the team, he closed it by saying "We love length"

I don’t remember the last time when I’ve seen so many rookies who are ready to play on opening night.

Last year's group was pretty good I have to say. I think the top ten all played really well last year

He played a few games with them last year but I wasn’t really expecting him to end up starting game 1 like this. He played decent in the preseason too.

Seems like losing Melton might have cleared a bigger role for him and Konchar. And they both have pure strokes.

Not sure what his role will be when JJJ is back, they just extended Clarke too. Brooks, Zaire, and Danny Green are also out tonight.

But honestly Aldama, Konchar, Tillman, LaRavia, and Roddy all seem to be solid rotation guys and just further my opinion that packaging Brooks and Clarke in a trade for a legit SF just makes too much sense for them at this point. Ja, Bane, JJJ are pretty much the 3, Adams is a lock when they play big, and they have tons of young depth, shooting, size, top tier backup PG in Tyus, etc.

A lot of these guys coming in the past 2-3 years have the whole “pace” thing nailed. Can’t rattle them, speed them up, slow them down.. they may be raw elsewhere but not many guys coming in looking out of place in that sense anymore.

He’s been awesome tonight. I wasn’t aware of him before myself. I’ll be watching him closely this season. Hope he can continue with this effort.

Wasn’t even thinking about SloMo being gone, but Aldama is probably a great replacement for him. Sorta between that 3/4 with good size. Much better shooter but SloMo was a great defender for anybody that wasn’t too quick for him while he was with Memphis.

Bane has got to learn to kick a bit more, or just sooner, than he does. He just doesn’t have the length to justify hanging onto the ball when the opening isn’t there. Ball seems to be in his hands a lot more with no Melton though.

LaRavia looks shifty af.. I wasn’t expecting that. Dude has some quick feet on defense, and shifty handling the ball as well.
