      Re: 2023 NBA Trade Deadline

I go to sleep and miss all this!?!

KD to Suns is crazy. And Nets get a huge return for him too.

And Raptors landing Poeltl and all it took was Birch, protected 1st and some 2nds? Not a bad deal too.

Wonder what else happens for them. They finally got their C, but do they trade someone like OG still? This deal right now means it's Poeltl,Siakam up front. So Barnes only way of starting is OG being traded....

Wonder what other moves Nets make. They have a logjam in forwards.

I said it in the other thread. Bridges, Crowder, Craig works for KD salary wise. Add in however many 1sts the Nets want and the deal works out.
            I wasn't that far off

So Nets went through all that just to end up hoping to get back to where they where a few years ago: with young talent and good team culture. Are they hiring Kenny Atkinson back?

I wonder what the market for OG is now.

He's now the biggest name guys available. And seeing the Suns getting KD, does some other west team try adding to compete with the Mavs,Suns,Clippers(soon to get westbrook) recent additions?

No but forreal **** him too. Everyone else of importance is gone and his sorry *** is still here.

Anyway I hope we don’t go full rebuild(not that we can anyway since Houston owns our 1st round picks)so use those picks for something and then let Marks go in the offseason.

Wish someone would offer Tsai a boatload of money too but that ain’t gonna happen so I’m guess I’m stuck with him.

Nets are the butt of many jokes today but………

                        Timberwolves basically turned…

Andrew Wiggins, Jonathan Kuminga, Walker Kessler, Jarred Vanderbilt, Malik Beasley, Patrick Beverley, four first round picks and a pick swap

                        Into…:

Mike Conley, Rudy Gobert, NAW and a second round pick

                        LOL bum *** franchise.

Imagine KD being the one to win a title in Phoenix when the Nash era couldn't.

I heard Williams as a possible name, but I'm not sold on that being the main part of the return, and their firsts don't seem so valuable.

Pelicans is one team I heard too. Wonder if a deal with Murphy, Daniels and a future Lakers 1st would be part of it.

Or does some east team go after him now that the Nets are out of contention?

I don't fault the Nets. They had the right strategy....you need stars to be a legit NBA contender. They just swung for the fences with the wrong ones, Mr. Sensitive and the Junior Space Cadet.

If the suns pick is lottery protected going to Brooklyn and it lands 1 to 14 then Phoenix would hang on to the pick. If it lands 15-30 then it would go to Brooklyn.

They will be stipulations the next year which are key sometimes it will be lottery protected again and sometimes move to 2nds or unprotected.

this is a good site for that https://basketball.realgm.com/nba/dr...rafts/detailed

I don't fault them for going for it either (in general).

Everyone is at fault here to some degree; KD for hitching his wagon to Kyrie, Kyrie for being Kyrie, and Tsai and Marks for letting it all go to waste.
