Re: 2023 NBA Trade Deadline
Still doesn’t change the fact that the Lakers head coach is extremely unqualified and his ******* is still gonna run those 3 guard lineups, it’ll just be D’Lo out there with Schroder and Bev instead of Russ

I'm interested in what the pick conveys to if LA's pick ends up Top 4 in 2027. Hopefully just turns into an unprotected 2028 pickTwitter: @TyroneisMaximus

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

Re: 2023 NBA Trade Deadline
Saw this from Zach Lowe.
"An important note here: If not conveyed in 2027 -- i.e. if it falls into the top-4 -- the pick immediately converts to a 2027 2nd round pick, sources say. No other future Lakers first-round picks encumbered."Comment

2023 NBA Trade Deadline
Getting that haul for essentially a first round pick that might be a second round pick, considering I think the Lakers would have basically swapped Russ for contract swaps but didn’t wanna take on long term money, is a pretty solid get.
They’ll need DLo to play consistent, Beasley to get his rhythm going quick. But this has a chance to fix a lot of their issues. Still think it’s a bit too late. This trade a month ago would have them sitting nice right now IMO.
Russ likely bought out, I’ve read Heat and Clippers rumors. I think he would actually be a great fit with the Clippers. He and PG fit decent together in OKC, they have lots of shooting, and Zubac is the perfect type of big to flourish with him. He and AD never got it going, AD isn’t the type to screen, roll, screen again, etc. He’d rather just get the ball. They just weren’t the pairing I think some envisioned.
Hopefully wherever he goes he gets back to playing with joy. Fans treated him like **** while he was with the Lakers and while I get being frustrated most of that was unfair to Russ. He’s not looked happy in awhile and while I give him tons of credit for keeping it professional and making the best of it I’m ready to see the old Russ back.
Reasonable thinking would be now to trade Pat and the other pick, possibly with Walker since they can’t retain him most likely anyways, to make one more upgrade. Probably not likely, Jeanie wants to keep a pick obviously, and Ham has some weird infatuation with Pat Bev, but you look at the log jam of guys who aren’t big forwards or a small PG (basically just Dennis) and they’ve got Pat, DLo, Walker, Beasley, Reaves, Brown, Christie, if you could consolidate a couple for a solid big, another point, or just an upgraded similar player then that’s a pretty good follow up move to this.
Sucks to see JTA go. He was one of my favorites with GS and I thought maybe he would have a role with the Lakers too. Reality is his only value is to basically play hard, give you some defense. Lakers play from behind every game, he just didn’t provide enough offense to warrant playing time when they needed players on the floor who can shoot/score.
I know Pistons do not wanna move Bogdanovic for anything less than an unprotected first, and with Bron, Rui, Vando, his fit is off here anyways. Guys like Christian Wood, Eric Gordon, Gary Trent are similar in terms of money here and on the block. Tough to know if their value is more than a first rounder, and tough to really gauge what Gordon even has left in the tank playing for Houston. Trent is a perfect fit, but asking price might be steep. Levert is in that range too..
Upgrading from Pat could also come free, guys like Barton, Richardson, Ross are possible buyout candidates. If Lakers were able to land a big like Mamba or Poeltl with a first rounder they could replace the lost guard with one of the buyout candidates. Or take a swing for Mamba and Ross right now if you move both Pat and Walker.Last edited by ojandpizza; 02-08-2023, 09:51 PM.Comment

You got a decent looking dudes, young, famous, athletic, and worth multiple millions
They can pretty much get any girl they want...but they go for someone that's been around the league and over 15 years older?
Why? Lol

Same thing I don’t understand with the Kardashians family.
These young dudes are diffident though. Some of them are with porn stars lol. More power to them but I’m not wanting to be with some girl that I can find in a gang bang scene from a Google search lol.Comment
