Re: NBA to have age limit as soon as next year (20 yrs. old)

Maxim just did a special on college players at Syracuse. It cought my eye cause next to it was 10 players who failed trying to jump from HS to the pros.

The article talked about how these college baller had girls throwing themselves hoping to get laid by the guys, unlimited amount of food (talking about lobster, shrimp, all the good stuff, etc.)

If you think it is a one way street, then you are wrong. Both use each other, but both get something out of the realtionship

      YOU STILL NEED DEPTH!!!!

      Good grief...
Why would you need that much depth? They had two good pf's who were both young and weren't going to be falling off any time soon, why would they need him? What are the chances of both of them getting injured at the same time?
LMFAO seriously, you need to relax
I don't see why you are so concerned with whether I'm relaxed or not. I'm quite calm and relaxed. I just don't see why you always act like an ******* if someone doesn't agree with you. I'm not mad or anything, it's just funny. You can't come up with any argument without having to come up with bad one liners. You've changed a little bit since you were banned but you still pull your same stunts. Anyway, have a nice night

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Re: NBA to have age limit as soon as next year (20 yrs. old)

Here, I'm going to post the top 30 draft picks this year, and determine whether or not they are contributing, both HS, early decision college players (under 20), Euros, and 4 year seniors (or those over 20)...

High Schoolers (8 Total): * Denotes Major Contributor
*1. Dwight Howard - Major Contributor
          4. Shaun Livingston - Played a considerable role coming off the bench until his injury
          12. Robert Swift - He sucks. I don't know why anyone drafted him.
          13. Sebastian Telfair - Plays behind Nick Van Exel and Damon Stoudamire, but is productive with minutes
          15. Al Jefferson - One of the more surprising HSers in the draft. Decent in Boston.
*17. Josh Smith - He can dunk and he can block. Growing into a star in Atlanta.
*18. JR Smith - He can dunk too. Getting major minutes in NO (Which I could do).
          19. Dorrell Wright - Injured. Showed he could play in the summer league, tho.

Euros and Early Entry Candidates (Under 20) (5al):
*7. Luol Deng - Top 5 Rookie this year. Getting minutes in Chicago.
*9. Andre Iguodala - Top 10 Rookie. Playing excellently (word?) in Philly. Good defender and athlete.
          11. Andris Biedrins - I forgot he was in the NBA. Needs to stop playing scared.
          14. Kris Humphries - Has trouble getting minutes behind Okur, Boozer and Linko. Decent.
          21. Pavel Podolzkin - That's one bigass bitch. Drafted because he was big, that's it. No contribution whatsoever, and possibly never.
          27. Sasha Vujacic - He's aight. Solid, but nothing special.

Those 20 or Older, Both Euro and College (16 Total):
*2. Emeka Okafor - He's nice. Best player in Charlotte.
*3. Ben Gordon - He's nice too. Clutch, does his thing in Chi-town.
*5. Devin Harris - I contemplated giving him a *, because of his inconsistancy, but he's proven he can play.
          6. Josh Childress - He plays in Atlanta, but doesn't do much. Pretty disappointing.
          8. Rafael Araujo - The dumbest pick in the draft. And he was a four year senior.
          10. Luke Jackson - Injured. Could have been good this year on the Cavs.
          16. Kirk Snyder - Doesn't play a whole lot. Solid, but not outstanding.
*20. Jameer Nelson - I love him. Literally. Best draft pick ever maded (or traded) by the Magic. Is going to be a starter in the NBA for the rest of his career.
          22. Victor Khryapa - Doesn't really play. And when he does, he sucks.
          23. Sergei Monya - Plays in Europe, I believe.
          24. Delonte West - Solid. Injured most of the season. Plays behind GP and Banks.
          25. Tony Allen - Solid as well. Star potential. Athletic, good defender. Not enough minutes.
          26. Kevin Martin - I like this kid, but he plays in Sacramento. They're too deep at that position (SG/SF). Little contribution
          28. Beno Udrih - Does his thang on the Spurs. Another good Euro pick. Doesn't play a whole lot, but productive when he does.
          30. David Harrison - Was aight when he got to start on the Pacers. Now he don't play too much.

Of the 29 players drafted in the 1st round (Minnesota didn't have a pick, it was taken away) 9 of them are major contributors (from my point of view.)
5 of these contributors were under 20 during the draft. 13 players under 20 were picked in the draft. That's 5 out of 13.
4 of the contributors were over 20. 16 players were picked over 20 years of age. That's 4 out of 16.

Though some of you may agree with my list of major contributors, you have to admit, this year, that the players under 20 have made major impact in the NBA, even moreso than those over 20.

And if you look in the 2nd round, you will see the majority of the players picked were college seniors who have amounted to nothing in the L. In fact, the only actual producers from the 2nd round are Anderson Varejao, Chris Duhon, and Trevor Ariza. Trevor Ariza was an early entrance candidate.

This is just a list I want you guys to take a look at. Imagine the league this year, and the rookies involved in it with the 20 year old rule.

Nice analysis but with J.R. Smith, he's much more then just a dunker he's developing really nice while playing and he can be a future star in the league.

Wow. I guess too much depth is a bad thing.

I don't see why you are so concerned with whether I'm relaxed or not. I'm quite calm and relaxed. I just don't see why you always act like an ******* if someone doesn't agree with you. I'm not mad or anything, it's just funny. No it isn't a bad thing but paying a guy first round money when you have 2 good players at the position doesn't make much sense.

I thought that might be what you were getting at. But you are neglecting the fact that the NBA is a business and should have some say in what goes into its product. Some students may be able to pass the bar exam but they have to graduate in order to set for it. The same is true with the CPA exam. And btw, you have to have a certificate to practice law if you are going to represent yourself as an attorney.

If you feel you can make it in the NBA, I dont see why [legally] you shouldnt be allowed to try. Now if you dont, oh well. You have been given the chance to make it, and you failed.

Now most places dont hire kids right out of HS, and wether or not people agree with it that leage and the union have agreed (or all but agreed) to the new rule so thats just the way its gonna be.

So if he was that good behind Brian Grant and Rasheed Wallace, why didn't they trade Grant instead of O'Neal?
