I can see more 12-13 man rotations to start the year and then playoff rotations start forming around March
Will, we’re a NON TITLE CONTENDING TEAM and probably not even a playoff team and he’s giving them the Load Management routine because they’ll be playing hard(as if they don’t already do that most nights)???

Where the **** does he or any other coach on a similar team get off thinking this ONE GAME into the season?

I can definitely understand that. I don't get the "playing hard" part as the reason. It almost implies that you don't think your guys can't handle heavy minutes at that style. Shouldn't the goal for EVERY team be playing hard every night. So, I do understand your issue with it. As you said, the Nets are a fringe playoff team as it is, playing the load management style minutes means that the players who will can help you win games will be playing less minutes.

I can even understand that for an up and coming team who wants to develop the guys off the bench. But, I can see the issue with the Nets doing it. It would suck to lose games and playoff seeding because you're only giving Cam Johnson 26-28 minutes a night while also giving the backups the same amount.

You know what is really scary. I only some parts of the Bulls-OKC game. The Thunder are deep. Cason Wallace is probably not going to win any awards. But obviously it's only one game. He was 5-5 (3-3 from 3) 13 points. The Thunder hit 19 3's. If Chet can stay healthy. Look out.

I see guys like Jalen Johnson had good games to start the season.

I thought it was honestly because y’all got the depth at every position to pull it off. Like Jeebs said, I could see Bridges and Claxton playing bigger minutes in games that it was needed but I honestly just thought y’all had so little drop off elsewhere that it made sense to maximize minutes rather than have some guy play an extra few minutes when fatigued because he’s just substantially better than his backup.

Kinda like Denver with Bruce Brown but y’all got 3 guys with Cam, DFS, and Royce. Memphis was very similar last year as well simply because it just made sense with their depth.

If he’s truly doing it for load management purposes, that’s a little bizarre.

I think Jalen is going to blow up this year and be a serious contender for most improved.

lol so guys resting for big tv games lasted 1 night ?

But, that was a problem with the Sixers last year. The goal was to stagger and always have either Harden or Maxey on the court. But that meant they were playing 38-40 minutes a night. Then Embiid was playing the 38 minutes as well. I rather shrink the minutes if that means they'll play more games and less nightly toll on bodies
It makes more sense than having guys miss 12 games every year to rest, because I think the Kawhi method leads to more injuries, but I question how easy it'll be to go from 30 minutes all season to 40 in the playoffs. That might lead to injuries too.

That's the other problem. Not just injuries, it also lead to fatigue in the playoffs because guys weren't use to heavier minutes. Wasn't that the issue Bucks were facing prior to winning it all. Where when they were winning 60+ and running through the East, there guys would sit in the fourth and wasn't use to playoff minutes. So, they started playing playoff rotation earlier in season. So like I said, probably best to ramp it up after All Star break.

For me, when you can already guess when the rest day is, that's the issue. Like someone playing 40 minutes on game 1 of a back to back. Or 3 in 4 nights, you know one game will be missed. Or playing a weak team on a random Wednesday before a tough stretch.

Only 2 games in tonight. KD vs LeBron this hasn't happen since 2018. That's crazy.

That is kind of freakish. KD has missed a lot of time since then.

Springer is going to be a solid rotational piece. Already making an impact on defense. Just needs a role on offense

Sixers struggling from the line. Not worried about that since they have been a top 5 FT team last couple years

At least Oubre has looked good so far. For a team that usually shoots very well from FT, they are struggling. The offense has been stagnant so far. For all the talk about ball movement and pace, we haven't seen that so far. They missed a lot of makable shots early
