Re: February All Star Trade Regular Season Discussion
Damn, Portis suspended 25 games for using a pain reliever opioid named Tramadol.
This is what is being reported: All because his trainer mixed up medications
Bobby would consistently take Toradol given to him by an assistant, and randomly the assistant mixed up Toradol and Tramadol? Why would a medical assistant suddenly get a banned substance in Tramadol when they were consistently providing legal ToradolLast edited by roadman; 02-20-2025, 10:58 AM.Comment

Re: February All Star Trade Regular Season Discussion
This is what his agent is saying, we can choose to believe or not believe.
Bobby's version:
“I was dealing with an elbow injury and using an NBA-approved medication for pain and inflammation,” said Portis Jr. “During that time, I made an honest mistake and took a pain-reducing anti-inflammatory pill that is not approved. I feel horrible and recognize that I’m responsible for what I put in my body. From the bottom of my heart, I want to apologize to the Bucks organization, my teammates, coaches, family, and fans. I give everything I have on the court and will terribly miss playing games for the Bucks during this time. I will continue to work hard and be ready for our long playoff run. Thank you for your support. I appreciate it more than you know.”
Anyway, I feel 25 games is a bit harsh, but it is what it is.Last edited by roadman; 02-20-2025, 11:16 AM.Comment

Re: February All Star Trade Regular Season Discussion
Now the questions remain...Is that also why Paul/Wemby cheated during the comp (probably not)? Paul wanted Wemby to get through that as soon as possible without making it worse.
But then, if they found out about it during the all star weekend, why did he play in the game?
You go from discovering an injury to taking part in 2 games and a skills comp, just to then be out the rest of the season due to a medical reason not related to your appearances?Comment

An interesting development too because apparently it was only discovered during all star weekend.

You're overthinking this I'm afraid. The "injury" isn't the reason he is being shut down for the season; the treatment is the reason.
After his excitement of ASW went away people probably sat down with him and talked about the long term priorities.
Edit: According to reports it was diagnosed upon his return from ASW. He was feeling symptoms and had tests done which gave the diagnosisLast edited by ggsimmonds; 02-20-2025, 06:02 PM.Comment

Magic had a rough start to this game. But boy they turned it around.
I don't know what the Boston Philly game was about.
Bucks-Clippers probably best game on.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Pretty much 0 chance that if they knew of the clot issue beforehand that they let him participate in the Skills Challenge. The Challenge is absolutely nothing in the scheme of things.OSHA Inspector for the NBA.Comment

Re: February All Star Trade Regular Season Discussion
Like I said before, I'm for tanking. I doubt they'll keep their pick. The best case scenario is what winning the play-in and facing the Celtics or Cavs in round 1. I'm not even opposed to making drastic changes. Including Paul George, Embiid, and even Nick Nurse. I liked the Nurse hire at first. But, this season has been a disappointment. Yeah there have been a ton injuries, but the offense is way too bad for all the offensive talent they have. I don't think running it back and hoping guys stay healthy is the answer.Comment

Re: February All Star Trade Regular Season Discussion
Bucks almost messed it up in the 3rd qtr.
KPJ can play if he stays out of trouble, crossing fingers.
Brook had a game, Giannis on minute restriction 24pts, 8 boards, 4 assists.
Not seeing him play at crunch time was weird.
I'm ok with Kuz, he is a decent wing defender.Comment
