    Frustrating Knick loss. Two glaring issues for me;

    1) The offense can't be Jalen Brunson dribbling & dribbling for 18 seconds while the other four guys stand around. That's not an offense - you're not winning in the playoffs with the iso crap. Move the ball around!

    2) I don't care what defense Detroit is playing. It's on Thibs and his staff to adjust. Figure out a way to get our main offensive weapon (KAT) the ball down low so he can operate. Ten points in a playoff game and none in the fourth quarter???

    And where was Cam Payne????

Payne had 3 fouls in 4 minutes. They def needed him to run the point because Brunson is not doing anything other than looking to get fouled or get an iso 3. They actually played so much better when he was out because the ball was constantly moving and it was KAT getting into the paint and dishing (more size to get the ball out). Not to mention Bridges started off hot and then sat and cooled off since he wasn’t getting the ball. They should’ve kept running the offense through him getting midrange shots and P&P with KAT since he was open a lot.

Obviously they will go as Brunson will go, but he’s been a ball hog since Randle got hurt last year and it’s been killing them since then. His clutch numbers only look good because he takes all the shots down the stretch, but there were so many games when they were up double digits going into the 4th and they’d blow the lead because the offense turned into Brunson just holding the ball for 20 seconds and taking a bad shot.

It’s on Thibs and Brunson to make him start moving the ball around. If he refuses to, then they’ll be done in 5.

I also think that this season proved yet again why they should’ve kept Randle and DiVincenzo. I know they lost Hartenstein due to the CBA rules for what they could offer and Randle was frustrating at times, but having Donte’s shooting/defense would help immensely. Also Randle freed up Brunson so much to hit shots and not face the double team so much. He could drive and take contact and if they doubled him, he could kick it out to open shooters (Brunson being one of them) and if they didn’t, it was an easy bucket for him.

I understand they didn’t really have a center, but they could’ve gotten a cheap one to fill the void until Robinson came back. It just sucks to see them go all in and the team wasn’t any better this year and was actually worse in spots, specifically defense.

I know he was the only one with anything going early on, but damn it if Julius Randle's hero ball antics & pounding the ball didn't kill the offense (down the stretch).

Exactly why I'm not a fan of his (that and things like the follow through slap on LeBron). If he is the top scorer, you have a bad offense.

Minnesota has to figure out a way to get Ant attacking the basket. Part of it is just that I don't think Ant is hungry enough, but also Lakers were rotating to him every time.

Then on defense it seems like whenever Gobert is in the game the Lakers just take turns isoing him.

Finch about to get outcoached by a rookie coach this series.

Another interesting thing is Jaden Ivey appears to have been cleared, not sure what Detroit wants to do there, that's a tricky one

Following up on the Ant thing, in his post game he said it looked like every time he caught the ball the Lakers looked like they kind of went into a zone and it confused him.

Would explain why he was at times passive and gave the ball up.
I'll be curious to see the adjustments both teams have for game 3

Sengun is one of those guys that looks awkward the way he moves on the court so the first time you watch him you think he sucks and is just getting lucky, but then he keeps putting up good numbers game after game

I'm sorry, please don't ban me

That was an ugly end to the game. Turned in to 2 teams that can't decide if they wanted to be physical bullies or ref baiters.
