Yeah. That was an awesome game. I felt bad for Brunson, but both teams put on a show for a Thursday night after that boring 76ers one. I’m hoping this Celtics one tonight is also good.

American Idol always was soppy, but also could be mean, now it just seems all soppy.

Lakers went super flat in the 3rd. Almost like they used up all their bullets in the 1st half. And Boston is about to dog walk them.

Luka been bad tonight no way around it.

Tatum came to play tonight. Hell of a game from him. He set the tone early.

Philly need to keep losing and teams like Toronto and BKN to keep winning. Toronto face Washington twice. Philly's best chance to upgrade the roster is keeping their top 6 protected pick
Raptors are trying their best to tank and wound up with a 3 game win streak instead.

The way the lottery is going, the bottom 4 teams are locked, then the Raptors,76ers and Nets are in a 3 team battle for 5.

76ers are probably most desperate to tank given that if they finish with the 7th pick it goes to OKC which is also crazy how many 1sts OKC still has despite being a contender to win it all this year.

OKC could win the title AND best case have the 7th (Philly), 15th (Miami) and 16th (Clippers) picks this season!

I just wonder what kind of player they could trade for if they deal two or all 3 picks. KD reunion in OKC?

It got to a point early in the season where when the Sixers started terribly, that it became either have to buckle in and hope that Embiid could play most of the non-B2B and climb into the Play-In. Or the other option and tank hard. The issue with tanking is having a top 6 protected pick owed to the OKC. Doesn't seem like they can get into the top 4 worst record. It does seem like the Sixers could past Toronto in the standings. Sixers should shut down Maxey and PG. Both have been dealing with nagging injuries and haven't been playing well anyway with 20 games left. Is a top 6 pick going to propel Sixers to a contender if everyone stays healthy, No. But with their cap situation, a top 6 pick is their best bet to improve the roster. Unless they get a top 2 pick or plan on rebuilding, I would see them trading that pick

As far as OKC, it does seem like they have to eventually cash in on some picks. A problem they realized is that they can't field 3-4 picks on one draft. So, last year they kicked the can down the road and traded the current pick for a future pick. I could see them doing that again. But, OKC now have enough quality young prospects and guys making good enough salary, where they could package picks and prospects for a big upgrade. Maybe not a starter, but maybe a key off the bench guy

Speaking of tanking, Raptors tomorrow vs 76ers will be without Quickley, Barnes, RJ, Gradey and 6 other guys.

76ers so far have 8 guys out.

Tomorrow is a important game for this tank off. Raptors are up 2-0 in the series. Another win and they'll have a tiebreaker. It feels like none of Philly, TOR, or Nets are getting past #5 worse record. Pelicans have a 5 game lead on the 4 worse record.

We are in the blatant tanking season. We are seeing teams rest mid-20s healthy guys. Utah did it the last game Philly played. Quickley is out for Rest, despite only playing 28 minutes and not a part of a B2B. At least, Philly's guys are legit hurt lol. But, I'm all for Philly shutting down both PG and Maxey. No point of having them playing 38-40 minutes a game and no point of getting unnecessary wins. Worse case scenario is Philly ending up with the 7 pick and it going to OKC

On a related note, NBA fines the Jazz 100k for violating the player participation rule.

There should be a 3 strikes and you lose a 1st over it. I know I'm ironically saying this while wanting my own team to tank, but if it's a level playing field then maybe that'll combat tanking...somewhat.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. I want my team to tank and lose this game. I have a feeling that either Grimes or Oubre will go off for 30 plus and win smh lol

I agree, there should be some type of 3 strikes your out or something similar to the penalty where your first falls to the end of the first round like the tax penalty now. It's one thing if it's a B2B or at least a injury concern(not even a real injury). But, the amount of blatant tanking we seen now is ridiculous. $100K fine isn't going to stop teams from doing it. Didn't Dallas do it couple years ago to ensure that they kept the 10th pick and ended up with Lively. Teams are going to tank purposely if there isn't a real risk. For the Sixers with 17 games left after this year, what real incentive is there not to sit Maxey and George. Bulls have a 5 or 6 game lead for the 10th spot over them. At this point now, it's better to try and keep that pick

OKC out there matching Boston from three. Super entertaining. When did Lu Dort become a flamethrower?
