They could wind up playing my Knicks in the first round...that would be fun.Comment

Re: Second Half of the Season March-April Regular Season Discussion
Tight seeding races in this last week. The East top 6 is pretty much set in place. But, the East Play-In team can shuffle around. The West 3-8 is very close, with 4-8 being separated by just a half game. It's weird seeing Houston as the clear 2nd seed, they just seem like a team that will lose to whoever wins the 7th/8th matchup
I think the tanking order is close to being set. Jazz has a 1.5 game lead for the worst record. The bottom 8 all pretty much have enough of a gap between them. But, tonight's game against Nets-Pelicans is very important for the 3rd-6th bottom teams. A Nets win essentially locks Nets in the 6th worst record, Philly into 5th seed(would need Pelicans to win out to get 4th), and Pelicans still could have shot at 3rd. A Pelicans win would essentially lock Charlotte into 3rd, Pelicans only a half game up from Philly for the 4th, and Nets would still have a slight chance for 5th. As a Sixers fan, I want a Pelicans win. Besides the Wizards tomorrow, I don't see 2 wins left, especially against ATL and Chicago who are fighting for seeding. Pelicans have a tougher schedule, but any of those could rest guys. I rather have a shot at the 4th worst record.Last edited by illwill10; 04-08-2025, 08:22 AM.Comment

Thats insane. Winning a finals use to give you a solid 5 year grace period.
Whats with these historically underperforming franchises having one year of success and thinking they should now have the same standards as the elite franchises. Kings, Grizzlies, and now the Nuggets
Memphis ok, I can see it if he lost the lockeroom, but Kings and Nuggets? Humble yourselvesComment

Yeah, I could understand Memphis. But, essentially doing a full sweep a week before the play-in starts of a team that is currently #4 seed is crazy. I know they haven't been as good recently. But, thisnis wild. Almost says that they didn't even want them give them a chance to change their minds in the playoffs
But now? Ownership wants a change (GM fired too) so bad they are willing to sabotage this year's playoffs for it? Thats not a bold move, thats just insanityComment
