Re: If McGrady and Yao continue to play like this..
smh...I knew this would happen...But I aint kno T-Mac was gon play like this on both ends...and truth is he really wasnt sweatin @ the end of the game and he played almost the whole game...but yea they can beat the suns because unlike the suns the rockets play defense...they have a defensive minded coach. HOPEFULLY yao can take this game and learn from it, as far as wht he has to do to be more dominate...but yea...If they play like this then they will make the finals...Good Job...T-Mac is playin to win nowComment

Re: If McGrady and Yao continue to play like this..
The Rockets are playing great.....but. If Dallas wins Game 3, it's back on, and the Rockets will have to be concerned about blowing their great start.
Plus, T-Mac is historically a very inconsistent player. Orlando was frustrated with him because he didn't show up in big games. He certainly has the first two.
Dirk has historically been good in big games. If he returns to form......?
If Houston wins Game 3, it's over. If Dallas wins Game 3, look out.Comment

Re: If McGrady and Yao continue to play like this..
The Rockets had almost the same record on the road as they did at home this season. For whatever reason, they play better on the road. As a Rockets fan, I almost expect them to lose one of these because I have to believe Dallas will get at least one win. I think as long as the Rockets get one of two at home, they've got the series.Originally posted by ErodThe Rockets are playing great.....but. T-Mac has been consistent all season. He's more motivated than he ever has been. The last big game he played for Orlando was 2+ years ago. He may not put on quite the performance as games 1 and 2, but I doubt he'll do what Dirk did throughout the first game and a half.
Ultimately it's up to Yao. He's gotta show up (like game 2) for the Rockets to win. The Mavs just have to play better defense and make less turnovers. Blame the losses on Dirk if you want, but he's not the main reason.Comment

I still think the rockets go as far as TMac takes em, see game 1. Yao's game was huge but he didn't really show up in Game 1 and the rockets won. That and the bench need to come up big again.Originally posted by mboss03Ultimately it's up to Yao. He's gotta show up (like game 2) for the Rockets to win. Re: If McGrady and Yao continue to play like this..
I blame Dirk because he's the star. His team is gonna take on his personality throughout the game. I know he's not a "rah rah" type of player but he needs to step up to the challenge. He's 7 feet tall and he's been shut down by McGrady. Perfect example, He has John Barry on his back and kicks it out to "Casper Van Horn" who turns it over. He needs to get his *** on the block and Debo some folks when his J isn't hitting. I don't really care how many points he scored becasue his field goal percentage definitely wasn't looking right from where I was sitting and by that I mean bad. He's gotta take over, shoot a higher percentage, rebound. Post up and kick it or something. When his shot isn't on he hasn't impacted the game in any other way. Like the TNT guys said, your star needs to be your pitbull.Originally posted by mboss03Blame the losses on Dirk if you want, but he's not the main reason.Favorite Teams:

Wrong...Phoenix, at 31-10 has the best road record in the NBA. Dallas finished 29-12 on the road...2 games behind the Suns. Good attempt though, thanks for playing.Originally posted by ErodDallas has the best road record in the NBA. They've been somewhat mediocre at home.Comment

It's not about being cocky at all...it's about people claiming statistics that are simply not true. It doesn't matter what team it was, I'd correct the person...just so happens that I'm a Suns fan.Comment

Re: If McGrady and Yao continue to play like this..
I'm honestly not suprised. Me and a few other T-Mac fans that have stuck it out with him since day one (like KDRE, for example), knew that last season was a blessing in disguise. Watching him (90% of his team's televised games for years), and seeing him grow up has been an absolute thrill. I saw my first NBA game this year - ironically, it was against the Suns in Phoenix - and T-Mac chewed them up in the 3rd. This is an exciting time to be a Rocket's fan, because even if they don't get it this year - there's always next season.

I was actually at that second game. The rockets covered the passing lanes well and won.Originally posted by TigerKneeThat's why we handed you your biggest home loss of the season and another home loss near the end of the season right?
I respect the Suns since they do have the best record in the league but to say we won't be able to beat them, even though we've proven that we can, is stretching it a bit.
Suns won't make it past the 2nd round so theres no worry.Comment

That's weird. We were both at the same game in Phoenix and I'm from Hawaii.Originally posted by WallyHoppIIII was actually at that second game. The rockets covered the passing lanes well and won.
