I'm from new mexico. i was out that weekend visiting a friend.

I had upper deck seats, row 7. Wasn't too crowded for a western conf. rivalry. Good ending non the less.

    Where'd you seat?

23rd row in lower seating area - straight up from where Hunter missed that dunk. It was surreal seeing players I'd followed for years right there in-front of me. You might be used to it, but I couldn't move the entire game. I didn't even get up to stretch. I had fun mocking the drunk Suns fans around me the whole time.

Is 23rd row pretty close to courtside?

My friend got tickets a month before that game and could only get upperdeck for 5 seats. And it wasnt even crowded. I expected a sellout, looking back because of the seats we got a month before the game.

It was perfect; I couldn't have asked for better seats. I payed around $100 and got mine a few days before the game.

Plus, T-Mac is historically a very inconsistent player.

This is the T-Mac alot of detractors (like myself) have been yearning to see...it really looks like he's starting to get "it", that championship-level, "game-on-the-line-I-will-not-lose" gear that only the greats can consistently reach. Its only been two games, but its great to see.

On that game-winner, he wasn't even looking up, he ran right to a sweet spot and blazed it with no hesitation. Balls.

Anyway, I don't know if the Rockets have the suporting cast to beat the Mavs over 7...I don't expect Dirk and Stack to continue to be so ineffective all series long.

Watching him (90% of his team's televised games for years), and seeing him grow up has been an absolute thrill. I saw my first NBA game this year - ironically, it was against the Suns in Phoenix - and T-Mac chewed them up in the 3rd. This is an exciting time to be a Rocket's fan, because even if they don't get it this year - there's always next season.
                Co-sign.

With Yao and Mac as the young core for years to come, and no signs of ego problems there's always next year, and the year after that, and the year after that... (I really really hope we lock up Yao long term though).

It it indeed is a good time to be a Rox fan. This is a real special team.

Re: If McGrady and Yao continue to play like this..

Yao and TMac played their best game.

The Mavericks played their best game.

The loser of this game is at a severe disadvantage. They know they played their best ball, and they still lost, which is a huge demoralizer.

The shooting percentages from both sides were incredible. The Mavericks, I believe, shot over 70% from the three point line. The Rockets were streaky, but still managed to shoot around or over 50% from the field. Good D by the Mavs, better D by the Rockets.

I personally believe the Rockets have this series won, but I don't want to speak to soon (cough). Unless something drastic or tragic happens, the Rockets should win in 5.

Re: If McGrady and Yao continue to play like this..

The rockets are the scariest team in the west. Yeah i know the rockets beat us bad one game but that was without our best defensive player (marion). then the next game, we did beat the rockets with a full squad. 100% of the suns have to be healthy, or i think we won't be effective, (my heart stopped when marion got fouled and hit the deck.) So yeah Rockets are playing great, but thats when Yao is on. If we keep Yao tired with the Run and Gun, then i think he won't be a factor he is right now.

if they do meet in a series, its going to go to the team who can dictate the tempo.

Re: If McGrady and Yao continue to play like this..

For the record I was just joking about the Suns being able to beat the Rockets easily. The Rockets are playing great basketball especially if T-Mac and the role players are really stepping it up (40 points from Sura, James, and Barry), and if they keep playing as they are playing now, they will be tought to beat. The Suns can play good defense during stretches of play, though they need to do it more consistantly against good teams otherwise it comes back to huant them (up 18 against the Spurs heading into the 4th qtr and they lost. Doesn't help when all starters played at least 45 minutes and the bench consisted of steven hunter, jake voshkul, and smush parker. Sad thing is i'm not kidding.) Also a big difference between this team and other run-and-gun teams is that Amare is pretty good and I'll be the first to admit that he gets lots of dunks (second in the league to shaq) but he is still a pretty good player who can take up space down low and the suns have been a pretty good shooting team all year around. Again it will be a tough series against the Rockets especially if McGrady can continue his play, but I have confidence the Suns can pull it out.

However, when you want to talk about beating the Suns by 20 they didn't have Shawn Marion which is pretty big becuase this team really relies on its starting 5 moreso than probably any other team in the league. It would probably be the equivalent to Houston not having Bobby Sura in which they went something like 2-5 (correct me if I'm wrong) Also in another game rockets won by 1 point and in that game Steven Hunter should have made that tip shot near the basket, so its not like the rockets own the suns or anything like that. Not trying to justify the losses (though it sounds like it) but like I said I like this teams chances at full strength.
Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.

Re: If McGrady and Yao continue to play like this..

Come on people.... Lets not get ahead of ourselves. T-mac will be able to keep playing like this but Yao won`t be able to. I live in the Houston area and i`m a Rockets fan and I know what Yao can and can`t do. I`ve seen him play enough to know that last night was the best he`s ever played in his life. It probably won`t happen again. But he will be a presence and try to be another part of the puzzle that helps The Rockets win ball games which is all we can ask from him.

And the Rockets will face some tougher defenses later on in the playoffs (if they make it passed this round). I`m not sure they`re ready to play against that type of team yet? But we`ll see... I`ll be pulling for them to win it all!

                        GO ROCKETS!!!!

If the Rockets play the Suns they better get Yao on the stairmaster real quick because I can't see his endurance keeping up over a long series and the Suns know that and will be relentless in their run and gun. The series will be won or lost in the battle between Amare and Yao and I think Amare is more consistent and in better shape.

If the Rockets and Suns play in the 2nd round.......the speed of our game (should we be able to dictate the tempo) will tire out Yao like CRAZY. I dont think he'll be effective at all, but we'll see.

I love how everyone keeps doubting the Suns because theyre a run and gun team.

It won't be easy, the Rockets are very solid club but the Sun will win.

It is a beautiful thing on how our run and gun won't win in the playoffs. I've been laughing it up all season when people doubted their play would last to the All Star break and how it wouldn't be good enough for a full 82. It's not even a hurdle, aside from the commish vowing playoff refereeing would be no different that the regular season and so far that holding true, I don't forsee any team holding down a team that has the freshest legs in the league in a seven game series.

Best starting five with quite possibly the most versatility(starting five).

                              It will be fun.
