Am I the only one who would take Wade over Lebron?

Maybe i'm biased cause Wade is quickly becoming one of my favorite players, but I honestly in my right mind would take Flash over Lebron if I had the chance.I just love his quickness and first step. But he can also beat you badly with his dribble moves and killer crossovers. And his mid-range game is so vicious. It's refreshing to see a young player master the Mid-Range game and not jack up bad 3 pointers like many rookies or 2nd year guys do.

And I'm sick of the argument that Wade is only good this season cause he has Shaq.Last year after his injuries he was averaging almost 20 ppg.Look what he did yesterday in the 1st half when Shaq was hurting and not playing well...He's carried that team all year long and I'd even venture say that he's a more worthy MVP candidate than Diesel.

i agree with the fact that wade is an excellent player, even without shaq, and im sure many ppl will agree with u about wade being better, but i would still take bron over him. hes three years younger, averaged 27, 7 and 7 while beng 20 years old, and got his team to finish the season above .500. his future is unlimited.

i had this discussion with my cousin the other day. its almost a toss up, after watching wade torch the nets. but i still have to go with Lebron on a small margin based on his size and match up problems he brings to the court. I still can't dismiss that the Heat has a better supporting cast than the cavs.

I couldn't agree more. Like I've said elsewhere on this board, Wade is my favorite young player. Shame he doesn't get the hype that LeBron gets.

Wade's a brilliant young player, but LeBron is a different animal entirely at only 19 years old.

James can be as good as he wants to be - literally.

He's a once-in-a-generation talent, and once he learns the leadership skills that Jordan figured out after two or three years in the league, he'll be essentially unstoppable. Period.

As good as Wade is - and he's damned good - LeBron has to be considered a better player, and he's just scratched the surface of his abilities. It's almost scary.

Gotta agree with this one and yes Wade played amazing yesterday but then it was NJ so take that with a grain of salt. Other times Wade has looked rather ordinary without Shaq drawing double and triple teams. Could you imagine what kind of #'s Lebron would of put up with Shaq on his team. Until Wade has to lead a team himself the jury's still out on how great he can be. Refer to Kobe's woes this year as reference.

The big thing with Wade is the style he plays may have him on the injured list more often than Penny Hardaway in a few years. He has to tone it down a bit to have longevity and then will he really be as effective.

If healthy Wade will be a top 5 player IMO but even then Lebron is still a cut above. At times he seems to be toying with opponents and seems to do whatever he wants no matter who is defending him. The only thing with Lebron I might question is his intensity to win a la Jordan. After they beat the Raps on the last day but still missed the playoffs he didn't seem very upset that they missed the playoffs even though they collapsed in the 2nd half of the season. One game I saw (I think it was against Sacramento) they were getting blown out and he was sitting on the bench in the 4th quarter joking around with teammates. I don't think you would catch Jordan or Bird smirking while their team was getting destroyed. That's one thing I like about Wade, he's very intense which is never a bad thing.

That's a good point. That's why LeBron has to want it.
If he doesn't, he'll be Chris Webber - great stats, no real results that matter for his entire career. That's the risk of making an 18-year old set for life on Day One - he may lose motivation. Let's face it, many of us would.
But if LeBron decides he wants to be compared to Jordan - and maybe even better - he has the ability to do so.
Wade's got the heart of a champion right now, though - and it's what makes him such a pleasure to watch.

I'll take LJ anyday over Wade. Wade has has 2 solid pro seasons, & this 1st Rd he was the best player on the court, but he was facing the NJ Nets with JKidd & VC who play no Def!

LJ is the more talented player & over the long run will prove to be the better player, even though I'm sick to my stomache hearing all the darn hype on him from Sports Center to the NBA marketing people.

Give me Manu Ginobilli over both anyday!

I'm saying that Wade has almost all the abilities that Bron has. This guy can average 10 assists on any given day.He breaks you down so well.LeBron has a lethal first step and he has the size, but Wade is quicker and he has an erray of moves he uses to get by his defender.Wade is a better defender and shooter(his mid range stroke is so pure). And there isn't any swingman who finishes in traffic like he does, no one.If Wade develops a consistent 3 point shot, the sky is the limit for him too.Wade isn't no old man either,he's only 23.I don't know, maybe it's just ,my bias in the fact that I just prefer Wade more.I terms of abilites,IMO it's a toss up.I think people have a tendency to take Lebron cause he's about 3-4 inches taller than Wade.

Actually I'm a huge fan of Ginobilli and think he is one of the most underrated players in the NBA. The guy always puts out and hates to lose and is a great team player.

Since you mention him I got my own personal fave who I think will be just as valuable as Wade and that is Chris Bosh. The guy had a great second half after Vince got traded at being the 1st option and is posting similar numbers that Garnett did at the same point of his career. It always takes longer for big men to develop and when he puts on another 10 lbs he will be a force and IMO a top 5 player. He always gives full effort and hates losing which the Raps have had alot practice doing. The best part is he's got a great attitude and doesn't act like an ******* and has already stated that he wants to stay with the Raps and lead them rather than take the 1st opportunity to leave the team when something doesn't go his way like you get with so many of today's players.

We need to get a point guard that wants to feed him in the post though. If we don't compete for a playoff spot next season and are 6-7 games back,I'm going to be very worried about him bolting.

It may be because you've seen Wade more lately and he's fresher in your mind.

Here is how you can solve this argument for yourself. But Lebron on the Heat and Wade on the Cavs. That Heat, is already good, but with Lebron on it would be sick, plain and simple. Wade is a great player though, take nothing away from him but its like comparing Drexler to Jordan. Drexler was an excellent player, but Jordan simply had more to work with, its truly God given amazing ability,

But... you'd really have to think what Lebron could do if he had a supporting cast anything close to Wade's.. It's really not fair to compare, different situations. It's like comparing Big Ben's situation to Eli Mannings.. you cant.
