Wade has Shaq, Lebron has Illgauskus. Enough said. Even though I don't like shaq, he commands a lot of attention from opposing teams.

now that wade is getting better we all can thank SHAQ. lol

SHAQ with LEBRON, Id take LEBRON.
SHAQ with WADE, ID take WADE.

SHAQ is the determining factor, ultimately.

Both have WAYYYYYYYy too much potential

At the very least, Wade has single handedly ended the "Detroit took Darko over Carmello...are they f-ing nuts!" threads.

Ironic thing is...Darkos pick now looks WORSE, much much worse...because the Pistons could have had Wade.

Can anyone imagine Wade on the Pistons...their defenders with a legit top 5 "go to guy"...

Players I would most want from the 2003 draft.

          1. LeBron
          2. Wade
          3. Hinrich
          4. Bosh
          5. Melo

The Cavs had a better supporting cast last season and he still made the playoffs over Bron.Remember, last year the Cavs had Z and Boozer.

And he(Shaq) commands Double teams, but it's rare that the double team will come the guy who's defending Wade. He's too good of a player to leave alone. The Shaq factor I will agree that it helps the spot up shooters like Damon and Eddie Jones, but I don't think it's as big a factor on Wade as it is on the others players.Haslem too will benefit cause Shaq can block out like 3 men which allows Udonis to grab a lot of boards.

I'm a D Wade fanboy so of course I would have take Wade anyday. The way he carries himself on and off the court is great and you can't help but root for someone like that. On the other hand ther is Carmelo Anthony. Does anyone else here think this guy has a piss poor me first attitude? He displayed another example of his character last night after the game saying he didn't get the ball enough. How about that cheapshot on ginobili in the previous game? I am starting to come to the conclusion that he may just be a punk. I used to like him but is attitude sucks.

Are you crazy? The cavs suck. The only one that's alright is drew gooden and jeff mcginnis.

he's sayin last year the Cavs had a better supporting cast then the Heat

                    James - Boozer - Z compared to Wade - Butler - Odom

I don't know, the Cavs definitely had more size.

the thing is though, everyone wants to think if LeBron was on the Heat instead of Wade, how great Miami would be. but honestly, if Wade was on the Cavs, they would've made the play-offs this year. I mean Wade got Miami a 6th seed last year with NO legitimate big man whatsoever. Brain Grant? Samaki Walker? are u serious, Bron had two bigs and couldn't make the playoffs. I think Bron would work better with better people around him but Wade can make people play harder because of his desire to win. I still think Bron is too concerned about gettin' his numbers and highlights than getting a ring.

Bosh is developing into a nice player. Needs to add on some muscle in the off season, too, too thin for a BIG man!

You haven't followed him very closely, then.
Every one of his teammates has praised his team-first attitude all year long. I see him in practices, in games and in other situations where he deals with fans, and he might be the most misunderstood player in the NBA.
His attitude is fantastic, actually. Kenyon Martin, on the other hand...

Whatever, though. People like there to a "bad guy" so their favorite player looks better, and many in this Forum have settled on Carmelo. C'est la vie.

Some of you probably know, that Im probably one of the biggest Wade fans ever. But I still think Lebron is a better overall player. There are things Wade does better, but overall id take Lebron. Wade's still the man though, and hes a great winner/team player...

As hard as it is to find a solid big man these days, its probably just as hard to find a point guard who is a team leader, and good on the offensive and defensive ends of the floor.

You can't argue with any of the reasons why people would pick Lebron. I'm one of those that fall into the Wade camp. On the court, I think all great players need some kind of a "streetfighter", "alleycat" component to their game. You don't do anything cheap or dirty, but you need to be able to deal with the chippyness of the game, especially during the playoffs. Wade seems to have that in his game, Lebron doesn't seem to have it yet. If Lebron develops it-game over-It will be interesting to see how Lebron deals with his first playoff experience-then we'll start to see how great he can be.

Its interesting, every one of the HS to NBA guys, regardless of their accomplishments, is still trying to reach the level of "playoff immortal"
