Well, since both came in the League at the same time and lit it up, that's a moot point.

You can't go wrong with either, but LeBron ain't head and shoulders better than D.Wade. I got them being on the same level.

I will say this, though--both are better than Carmello at this stage. To me, Mello regressed in his sophomore season, even though the Nuggets turned it around when Karl took over.

I didn't bother to read the other arguments but I'd take DWade over Lebron.

It really is a toss up, tho. Can't go wrong with either.

My reasoning behind it is that DWade has that swagger ... that killer instinct that Jordan and Kobe have. Lebron's numbers are still gaudy, but and stastically he imposes himself on the game, but his will isn't nearly as imposing as DWade.

And it's time to start realizing that Shaq needed DWade this year, moreso than he needed Kobe (since he's Shaq isn't exactly young anymore).

His will isn't as imposing? SO I guess if Wade was on Cleveland, his will would have lead them to the playoffs more than lebron's 27pt,14rebs, 14 ast game in the must win game of the season. It's easier to say someone will is strong when they play on a winning team. It also helps that Wade is playing and getting tips from the most dominant player. Nothing against Wade, he is a great player, but LeBron is in another catergory.

So what Wade did the year before, doing the exact same thing....meant nothing?

Wade and Bron are on the same level.I don't wanna hear this business about Lebron been head and shoulders above D-Wade.IMO right now,the best 2-guards(Swingmen) are...

              Wade
              Mac
              Kobe
              Lebron
              Ray Allen
              Gino
              Carter
              Pierce
              Hughes

If you wann put AI as a 2-guard then he'd be in the spot between either Mac and Kobe or Kobe and Lebron.Same with Arenas,he'd probably be below Gino.

This is not meant to slight Wade in anyway, but he has always had better talent around him since he's been in the league. That isn't his fault at all, its just the truth.

I agree. But Wade has soemthing about him that makes him put a game in his hands. That's critical. And he does this with ease. It just seems that LeBron is reluctant to do so, even though he has it in him.

Whod Wade have last year that was so great? Lamar Odom? He took last years team to the second round of the NBA playoffs also...I feel reluctant to make comments in this thread, because I have an obviously bias opinion, but to say Wade had great talent around him last year, is a little foolish...

Exactly. I admire LeBron and right now I have him slightly over Wade, and the lead I have for LeBron over Wade continues to minimize as Wade dominates the 2005 Playoffs. The major difference when comparin LeBron and Wade is, it seems as if LeBron watches all of these analysts and all of ESPN's 3-5 O'Clock line-up and feels as though he has to hold back his abilities to dominate games and put them in his hands in fear of bein called a ball-hog or a selfish player. Neither of the two are selfish at all but Wade knows when to finish a game off. He has that same killer instinct that most of the great ones had. That is what keeps Wade on LeBron's level, is Wade seems to be able to do most of the things LeBron can do, yet at the same time, his strengths are LeBron's weaknesses. These two will be so interestin to watch and see how their careers develop and I feel lucky to have the chance to see this unfold in front of my eyes.

The first time these two matched up, Wade hit a game winner over Lebron as time expired. This was in summer league, I remember seeing it on ESPN.com a couple of years ago...Just thought that was kinda interesting...

I'm looking at these fan rankings on ESPN.com, and people have
                          1) Wade
                          2) Lebron
                          3) T-Mac
                          4) Kobe
as the top 4 swingman. Now Lebron and Wade are good and all, but how can you say that they are better than Kobe/Mac?

I agree with the above except I would put T-Mac #1

My bad if thats the way it came out but I wasnt trying to give my opinion more authority. You may think that Kobe is better (Im not sure if you do) which is fine its all opinions anyway but I just dont think he should be labeled a Kobe Jr. There games are not similar because I dont think Kobe brought life to Wade's game.

The same reason Kirilenko was reguarded by some as the best SF in the league when the Jazz started off hot...hot guy gets the props. Period.

IMO, the only "swagger" D Wade has over LeBron is that Wade is scoring like a madman RIGHT NOW. I don't really think that consistently busting your *** to create good looks for your teammates = less aggresiveness. LeBron has taken over plenty games, he just needs to grow into doing it more consistently, and learn to be a little more greedy.
