Well it was a great season. This team proved that they're bigger then the sum of their parts. (did I butcher that saying? you know what I mean tho) I can see the Raptors being a very strong team for the next five years AT LEAST.

Oh and Andrea HAS to be in the starting lineup next year.

Great year for the Raps. I for one hope that Mitchell is not coaching this team next year. He did a good job, but I'm sure Colangelo can find someone out there who can do a better job of creating a gameplan on offence. At time the Raps talent seemed restricted because of Mitchell's one demensional offence.

I think the celling is only so high as to the success the Raptors will have with Mitchell. I don't know if we hit the celling, but were not that far from it.

That said, not too many coaches could have done what he did with this group this year, and thanks is owed to him and the entire organization for a hard fought and successful season.

        Thank you Raptors!

Anyone who has noticed my posts here will know I am not the biggest Sam Mitchell supporter.

I think hes a good coach, but will only get a team so far. And by no means do I belive that he was the coach of the year.

Yesterday I heard somewhere that that the contract talks between Mitch and the Raps are going well...am I the only one who is feels a little shaky about this news.

Apparently it's going so well that we should have an announcement next week. On the one hand this is very good news. This franchise has seen so much instability on the bench for so long that there HAS to be continuity with the head coach. Sam Mitchell will shockingly enough be the first head coach in Raptors history to re-sign after his contract expires. The flip side to all this is that like you and others I only see a finite limit with him as coach. It's a chance that Colangelo has to make and I think the positives outweigh the negatives very slightly.

July 10, 2007 (TORONTO) -- The Toronto Raptors announced Tuesday they have signed free agent forward Jamario Moon to a two-year contract. Per team ...

You guys should be very excited with this guy. I've had the pleasure of seeing him play in my hometown with the Albany Patroons and let me just tell you something. When you watch those games you see some special players out there, but this guy made it seem as though there was a 2nd story on the floor, like he was playing 1 foot above everyone else. You could just see it.

He couldn't be stopped, and he was in a league of his own. There was nothing a defender was going to do to stop this high-flyer. Even our player T.J. Thompson who averaged 25 ppg compared to Jamario's 18, wasn't as good as him. Jamario can also play relentless defense.

I've seen this guy pull off some of the craziest dunks I've ever witnessed as a human being. Check this... One time he jumped from about 5 feet inside the freethrow line on a drive, and as he was up in the air ready to throw down, Lenny Cooke for the Stampede was trying to block him (and going to)... then Moon pulled the ball down in mid-air (like a one-hand pump) waiting for Cooke to clear and LAND!!! and Moon brought the ball back up (mind you, he's still in mid-air) and threw it down with ferocity.

The crowd got incredibly silent as to swallow what we all just saw... something we coulda swore was impossible for any human, and then we applauded and screamed for a good half-minute yelling "Moooooooon!!!!" It was breath-taking for sure.

You guys are lucky... I want a Raptors' Moon jersey now!!!

Time to revie this thread about the Raps....nothing since August???

Well, I've been following the team all season and while we're in the play-off hunt, I do find the team can frustrate with their inconsistency.

Losing Ford was tough because he was really getting into gear when he got smacked around by Horford although Jose has been an all-star with his play al season long.

Bosh really came on after he got into game shape and it's nice to see Bagnani back to his normal self.

Kapono has shot well in the limited minutes he's got and while people are crowing over Moon, I just don't see him as a starter for the team.

At 27-22, I think we could be a little more consistent in the 2nd half and once Ford gets himself back in game shape, we'll be fine.

BC does need to look at getting a real 3 in the summer though

Bargnani last 5 games is averaged 20 points on 50% shooting from the 2 and 3 and 90% from the line and he's also pulling down 5 boards a game which is better than the outputs on the glass he had earlier in the season.

Since the Raps have home court i'll say they'll win it in 6 but that's not indicative of things.

BC needs to make some major changes. I truly think this team needs some grit and a force in the middle. I'm looking for a younger Charles Oakley here.

Magic have home court. Boy do we need some grit , I pray to god that BC drafts another big, this time someone a little more um "big" someone who dunks on people blocks shots and most importantly stays put in the damn paint (none of that floating around the 3 like bargs) now with that said let Chuckfino walk, trade bargs with calderon/ Ford for either Brand, Richard Jefferson or Corey Maggette, All wishfull thinking of course but something has to happen.
we are a damn good team just missing a few pieces.
