    JEEZ!

What a statement game by the Raptors for their last regular season game against a western conference opponent. They absolutely murderized the Nuggets!

The only bad news was Bosh leaving with an ankle injury but hopefully that isn't too serious.

Apparently it's only a mild sprain so he could be back on Monday...but I loved how the Raps dismantled the Nuggets last night. That could easily be their best game of the season with the great defense that was played early on as well as the Raps making shots and playing great 'ball.

Hopefully, Parker will come back soon, but if Mo Pete plays like he did last night, they are in great shape

          GG tonight

That Garbajosa injury looked pretty bad, I hope he's ok.

Hopefully next year the Celtics will give the Raptors a run for the Atlantic.

Damn the Garbo injury reminded me of Livingston's injury this season.
Safe to say he's done for the year, too bad after that huge game vs the nuggets.

Oh yeah and todays game SUCKED. kinda looked like they were looking towards miama and forgot about this one.

Man....our vaunted depth is getting a punch in the nads right now. Hopefully this team can man up and do the impossible (it looks like they'll be playing Miami in the first round) and win that first round series. It'd be great for the organization and for the city as well.

I was at the game tonight and if Wade doesn't come back for the playoffs and the Raptors draw the Heat as their first round opponent then I like our chances.

The Raptors thoroughly outhustled and outplayed the Heat. They spread the ball around quite well and showed far more athleticism. The final score is not indicative of how bad the Heat were outplayed.

I agree - the Raptors handled the Heat and if Wade doesn't come back, they'd be in a lot of trouble as the rest of the team isn't all that great. Shaq also isn't the same player he used to be

It's interesting how this team has won the division and the earlier Raptor teams that had arguably better talent didn't do it.

I was listening to Bob McCowan on the Fan 590 this week and he was saying how Sam Mitchell is sitting so pretty right now. He wasn't saying that Brian Colangelo was wrong for not extending him earlier, but how Sam Mitchell can basically write his own ticket at this point.

The reason why he feels Colangelo didn't do anything right, but didn't do anything wrong either in respects to Mitchell, is because if you extend him, say in January or February and the team tanks, you've just made a collossal mistake. At this point, Sam's going to get more money than before, but at least you know that he is the guy for the job with this team.

I still wish he would turn over the playcalling to someone else. He gets bailed out alot of times by the terrific shooting this team has. But I digress. It's clear this team respects Sam in the only way that matters. They play hard for him.

Yeah I heard that and McCown makes a good point about it. It does kinda put a crimp on Colangelo's plans tho as it was reported right from the beginning that he wanted his own man. I bet Sam gets a big money deal but he's going to have an awfully short leash.

I heard the same reports about Colangelo wanting his own man, and I just find those hard to believe. I think if he really wanted his own man, he would've brought him in. He's a man with a strong mind that will do what HE thinks is right. Why would he give Sam any potential opportunity to succeed with a roster that was largely turned over and "the future" if he had his own guy in mind?

I just believe that he heard great things about the respect level that Sam gets from his players and wanted to give him an honest chance. He had another opportunity to can him at 2-8 and, fair or not (tough sked), nobody would've second-guessed his decision.

True and now that I think about it Bosh wouldn't have re-signed if he knew Sam was getting fired. Bosh is not a Vince Carter type but he's made it known that he respects Mitchell and wants him to continue coaching the team.

I have decided that I will no longer have expectations when it comes to this team. I saw the sked they had in January and thought "ok, it's easy but they'll find a way to botch it". Then in February, I saw the sked and thought "ok, they're in a good spot to make the playoffs, but they'll barely get in after February". After they clinched the Atlantic, I thought "home-court is too much to ask for with their sked compared to Miami's". It seems after tonight's win against the Bulls, they're going about proving me wrong again.

I no longer believe anything is out of this team's reach.
