WOW...this could be true and that's why maybe he got Isaiah to make a pitch to LeBron.

    Wow...amazing.

Seriously, if Thomas comes back I'm done. I bet many Knicks fans would be done too.

And you know Isiah's constantly in Brain-Dead Dolan's ear, telling him he can bring so-and-so to NY.

Yea, that's a move you make. The Knicks know Chandler is walking next year. Eddy Curry is a sack of waste they've wanted gone for a long time. And Randolph isn't getting playing time. He's been the equivalent of a draft pick for the Knicks in an effort to make this kind of trade.

The Knicks would lose no one of significance in this deal. It's really the same situation if they signed Anthony as a free agent. Pull the trigger, Walsh, if Denver finally agrees to it.

Why do you say that? His contract demands will be too high? He's unhappy?

If they are going to sign Anthony, they won't be able to sign Chandler. I think both sides know the reality of their situation. It's David Lee again.

It all depends on the CBA. If there isn't a hard cap then we can still go over the soft cap to resign our own player (Chandler). I assume Chandler will want to get test the market though, just like Lee, because he'll likely be able to get more elsewhere.

no kidding. I still have hope for Randolph in this league, but I would go do cartwheels outside our office here if that one went through. I think the Nuggets would have to be desperate to take that one though.

What a disgraceful performance last night. No effort on defense whatsoever.

Damn man. It looks like D'antoni's system is finally showing its flaws. You can't have such a limited rotation, killing your starters with heavy minutes and rely soo heavily on the 3 and expect to win a lot of basketball games.

                          Two things:

1- The trade rumors clearly are affecting everyone. Chandler is like in a daze. Toney Douglas is not confident at all. Our rotation is part of this because guys simply don't know their role or how many minutes they'll get or whether they'll be starting.

2- Knicks need to pull the trigger on a deal...for a big man. Bynum & Pau ate Stat's lunch. Can't expect dude to guard bigs with any type of success.

#2 is a serious problem. Not many quality bigs out there and teams aren't just going to give them away. A guy like Kendrick Perkins would do wonders on this team but he refused to sign an extension with the Celtics so I guess he thinks he'll get big $$ on the open market in the offseason.

Camby's not going to be dealt. Marc Gasol will get matched.

Do you trade away able defenders and rebounders (Chandler, Fields, Gallo) to get simply a pure scorer (Melo)? Doesn't make sense to me...at all.

I'd rather trade AR, Curry and one of the above for a quality big instead of Melo right now.

The problem is something you already said: There aren't many quality big men out there. And knowing that, the Knicks are gonna have a real hard time getting one without gutting their team and making it irrelevant.

I'm afraid we might have to hope that Mozgov gets tougher. He's still very young. He can block shots and rebound the ball. That's two skills no one on the Knicks roster holds both of right now.

The team is gassed. If we do hang on and get into the postseason (which I think we will, baring injury) then we're going to get smoked anyway.

The rotation is just way too small. Felton and Amare are going to be dead by April.
