This Nets thing is confusing me now. I don't know who to believe anymore.

Knicks release statement from Dolan, Walsh, D'Antoni to "make it abundantly clear" the three have been "in constant communication" ...throughout process and are "in complete agreement with everything we are currently working on." Knicks statement adds, "We want to make it clear that no one from outside our organization has been involved in this process in any way."

Doesn't that just basically confirm that Isaiah is helping from the outside though?

Otherwise, if he wasn't, then I'm assuming you guys would know that since Walsh wouldn't be willing give up all of that for Melo, right?

            Of course.

If that structured deal goes down, Donnie's a goner (no extension) and Isaiah will be back in the fold sooner than later.

Donnie would never be happy with that kind of giveaway. Not his type of deal for something he worked so hard to get cap space for.

Surprised the Nuggets haven't asked for Stoudimire, Patrick Ewing, and Willis Reed. Stop it. Just stop it!

We are bizarros of each other because now I don't want this deal done at all.

Im tired of the back and forth.

                      Wow

I actually started to see it from your previous viewpoint as Billups and Felton are like an even exchange (except Billups is slower).

I don't mind giving up Gallo and Chandler but my hangup was Felton.

Plus if it goes through, what in the hell do the Knicks do at PG next year?

Either way, I'm for the deal as constructed, without giving up Moz.

Call me a sellout if you must.

My guess is that they'll pick up Billups' option (it's a team or mutual, right?) and have him around till 2012.

I know their concern is his age, but the Knicks never expected Felton to lead this team to a championship anyway, so I'm not sure I get their concern regarding the swap of those two players.

Honestly, it may work out better to have Billups if you're gonna have Melo and STAT. The Knicks are going to become a slower team on offense, I think. Especially if they lose Chandler and Gallo.

My thing is mostly that I'm tired of the drama and I do get your point that it is affecting the team. I also did not like Stoudemire's handling of this over the All-Star Weekend. He tried to be very diplomatic, but he came off to me as a guy that just wants Carmelo and doesn't care who goes.

Just something about these guys walking in and calling themselves Knick saviors when they weren't there to go through the struggle. That's what bothers me most. I realize that's not exactly the way you develop a winner, but on a personal level, it sucks for Chandler and Gallo to see what it was like in the basement and then get shipped out and not see the rewards of developing a winner.

Not going to complain that we got Melo, but damn did Denver do Dolan dirty. You would have thought that there was a list of 10 teams trying to get his services. Hope that filling out the roster isn't as tough as it seems like it could be.

The dislike is strong, but I don't care. I don't like that the Knicks gave up so much, but reality is they weren't winning anything with that roster.

Maybe they won't win anything with this roster either. But, at least fans can feel like they have a legit chance with two superstars. And isn't that what it's all about? Having a chance to believe you can win? Much better than being in the basement every season. That's for sure.

The Nuggets got a lot back. The picks are most valuable. The Knicks traded away a starting lineup that wasn't scaring anybody without Stoudemire. That's basically Denver's roster now. The Knicks minus STAT.
